Urgulleko Polboriña — Restaurant in San Sebastián

This place looks amazing but just to help people with some information we weren’t aware of—the restaurant will not be open if the weather is poor. Today was overcast and with some bits of mild rain. We walked up Urgull and were hoping to recharge our batteries at the restaurant, but found it closed. The only explanation we found was one website that mentions the restaurant is weather-dependent. We were very surprised no other Google reviewers seemed to have brought it up yet. So be advised if it’s not sunny and you are expecting some eats and refreshments on your walk—you may not find them! Very rude! We were warned before we went that it was more of a local bar, but we were not prepared for how rude they were when we arrived. If you’re not from the San Sebastián I would not give your money to this establishment. Before we even arrived at the bar there were several signs that said, “tourists go home.” Also, it’s not even really a bar, but more of a tiny walk in. The view is beautiful and there were lots of people who just brought their own drinks and sat near the statue which looked lovely. As for the bar however, do not go if you are from...

This is a must visit if you're in San Sebastian!! It is very cheap for drinks with breathtaking views over the city and bay.

It's about a 30-minute walk at a slow pace from the beach waterfront up the hill. The hill is not too steep, but it is continuously uphill.

If you have accesbility issues or difficulties getting up/down steps, then I would reconsider visit this place. Whilst the location can be accessed by road, unfortunately, the bar area is down a large number of steps, and you have to go back up them to leave or go to...
