Cubanito Bar — Restaurant in Sant Antoni de Portmany

Really disappointed to return to my google reviewing with such a negative.

Booked 4 day passes at Cubanitos for the final day of our holiday, aesthetic appeared lovely and quirky for a change.

We got ready and walked the 20 minutes to the hotel. We had booked the passes 4 days prior on the day pass app site which has been recommended by friends here in Ibiza and elsewhere.

As we walked to reception we were advised to go to the bar. The lady at the bar dismissed our booking saying she did not have them. This was already evident as the beds were all full..

We showed her our booking, and we’d paid a deposit. We had a reference - as works in all places booked via the app. She left for over five minutes and came back and said we could make a new booking at their sister hotel. We wouldn’t be able to use our already paid deposit however, and it was a 20 minute taxi away. This didn’t suit us as we’d purposefully booked a 7pm dinner 10 minutes away.

We asked for a refund so we could leave. The lady at front desk is the rudest receptionist/ front of house I’ve encountered. They wouldn’t refund our deposit and wouldn’t apologise. They recognised they’re available to book through this site, though take no ownership in their part in checking bookings which come through from it.

Whilst my partner and I dealt with this, my partners mother spoke with another lady who’d been left at the bar. This lady had turned up to her hotel booking at Cubanitos the night prior, she was due to stay Monday to Friday. She’d been told her room was not ready on the Monday evening and after much wasted time she was sent to another hotel 10minutes away that she had not booked. At 12pm the following day, she still was not in her hotel room in this hotel which she had booked.

All in all - the aesthetic is quirky at this hotel, service is lacking and there is zero substance.
