This was probably the most upsetting experience I've ever had in any country. The whole thing from start to finish was terrible. My partner and I approached to have a drink and a bite to eat with our 9 month old baby and my mum. We were told, " No, it's not open. 1 o'clock" (12.55). We took a little walk and returned a just after 1 to pick our own table. The girl came over and took our order but needed it repeating several times. Our 'Scampi' was just prawns (not de-veined) in a skillet of hot oil. This came out on its own, so we asked if we could have all the food ASAP as we wanted to catch the last train back to our resort. I also ordered a further soft drink. None of the above arrived for a further 25ish minutes (we ordered a pizza and kids nuggets and chips) During this time, the girl had signalled to me that our food would be 2 minutes on a number of occasions. Our food came at 1352, and we needed to catch the train at 2, so we asked if we could take it away instead. The girl seemed to roll her eyes and gestured to a man who had brought out the food. He seemed quite annoyed and went back inside. My partner had gone to the toilet as this was happening and heard a commotion in the restaurant as about 5 kitchen staff were laughing and talking about us. As he came out, I had received cold chicken nuggets and chips and a boxed pizza. I just said pay the bill at this point and off my partner went. They tried to charge us for 2 rounds of drinks and double food. When my partner tried to tell them, the owner got very aggressive and threatened to call the police. Which my partner was happy to do at this point as we felt that we had been taken advantage of. The owner pushed my partner, and i said that we should leave and leave all the food. When I approached to say just remove the items we didn't have, he shouted I'm not talking to you, with a hand in my face. He pushed my partner and said "you're on holiday don't ruin it." This was a very upsetting time for all of us on my birthday and with a 9 month old in my arms. Every single restaurant and bar we have been in have been so incredible with regards to our baby and this was the first place that didn't even acknowledge him. We basically ended up paying €50 for 2 sprite and a beer and some horrible prawns. We left the food. The 'owner' here is rude, ignorant and entitled. Avoid...

There are meals that nourish you — and then there are meals that transport you. Our lunch was firmly in the latter category: a sun-drenched afternoon surrounded by laughter, the gentle clink of cutlery, and a dish that told a story in every bite.
We were served a seafood paella so vibrant and aromatic it drew gasps before the first forkful. The saffron-kissed rice was cooked to perfection — rich, flavorful, and infused with the essence of the sea. Tender green beans and sweet peas added pops of color and freshness, while the mussels, crab, and prawns were succulent and impeccably fresh, each bite a reminder of the nearby shore.
A wedge of lemon added a touch of brightness, cutting through the richness like a splash of sunlight. And of course, the crisp white wine, lightly chilled and garnished with a slice of citrus, paired flawlessly, refreshing our palates between every indulgent spoonful.
As the pan slowly emptied, we found ourselves lingering — not just over the last grains of rice, but over the shared joy of a perfect meal in perfect company. Messy plates and scattered shells were proof not of chaos, but of complete satisfaction.
If you ever find yourself near the coast and craving a taste of tradition done right, don’t miss this experience. It's more than food — it's memory in the...
