This is a beautiful restaurant, clad in warm wood to match the warm greeting and excellent service and food we received. THE PLACE: Modena is near Palacio de Cortiguera and not far from Plaza Pombo. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. THE FOOD & SERVICE: Everything thing is made by hand “In-House” and was tasty, delectable, fresh and perfectly seasoned for our taste. SALAD: Goat cheese, fresh greens, balsamic vinegar, cherry tomatoes all displayed perfectly, professionally, artistically. PASTAS: Gnocchi Bolognese and Pappardelle Carbonara both were unbelievably delicious, clearly made by hand. SERVICE: A very lovely Peruvian woman served our meals. It was less like a restaurant and more like a friends home. She gave us the necessary attention while never rushing us no matter how busy she was. I’m disappointed to read negative reviews about Modena. “It’s not like we prefer” & “Their way is not to my liking” are traveler indications that perhaps some should stay home if it’s not “just like home.” But everyone’s like me is entitled to their opinions. Go and try this place - you...

Yo: vengo a comer Señor: ¿tienes reserva?

Mi conclusión NO VUELVO.

We on the Camino. After a long walk :) we were very very hungry… We looked at other reviews and got very excited about this authentic Italian establishment…..

My friend had a pizza 🍕 she loved it.

But then…

I and my other friend ordered the prawn garlic pasta the waitress asked if I want spicy - I said very very spicy please. When the pasta arrived it was very disappointing… the “prawn” was actually ‘shrimps’ in my country it is that at least (possible translation error). The pasta was very average box pasta - the whole thing was swimming in flavourless olive oil… there was also a total lack of hot spice… Also the serving size was very I’m underwhelming for its price.

Soooo wishing that I had not ordered the pasta but the...

Amazing for coeliacs! I had a gluten free / sin gluten margarita with mushrooms and goats cheese. It did add up to be €20 with the extras but was so worth it, the base wasnt dry at all. We didnt speak the same language as the waitress but we got by with google translate. They closed at 11.30pm but let us kindly stay till 12 to finish our wine. We ended up staying for 4 hours because it was so pretty in here and the perfect atmosphere to talk. Thank you for an amazing time
