Waves Bar — Restaurant in Santanyí

Would not recommend during lunch time rush. First time coming here at 12pm, stood there for 5 minutes and not one staff member greeted us so we ended up taking our own seat (at the front near the marina walkway the only one available). We waited close to 10 minutes, still no sign of being greeted, so I politely went to find a staff member (manager?) and asked if i could take some menus to look at whilst we’re waiting. Rudely responded with ‘ill get to you in a minute’. So me and my friend waited 20 ish minutes but still no one came to ask us what we wanted/even a hello to acknowledge we were there. It also seemed they were blatantly ignoring the other customers sat near the front close to the marina. We ended up leaving after 30 minutes as no one came to serve us. We could have stopped at any of them at the Marina, but this one appeared more relaxed and welcoming even if just staying for a drink. We did, however, in the end decide to have some lunch. I chose the Tuna Nicoise Salad and chips and my " significant other" chose a Tuna baguette with crisps. He asked if he could have onion too, which they were happy to oblige. My salad was fresh, crispy and plentiful. We had no complaints with either the service or the food. The staff were very friendly and even recommended places to stay next time we visit Majorca. The view of the marina was lovely. We didn't think the prices were too pricey for the location either. No issues with our bill, it was exactly what we ordered. I took a pleasant walk to try breakfast at Waves as it had been highly recommended. The location is magnificent, situated right on the marina. I politely placed an order for the standard breakfast and a coffee. All the ingredients were of exceptional quality and cooked to perfection. The bacon was remarkably thick, and I believe the sausage was a Cumberland, which had a delightful flavor. The only aspect that slightly diminished my experience was the atmosphere emanating from the bar and kitchen.
