Modemar — Restaurant in Santanyí

Food was amazing, the founder explained to us the history of the food and his idea of making it when serving us. We really appreciate it.

However, there is a waiter which completely ignore our table. We waited almost HALF an hour to get our order, which was in the end taken by the founder and not the waiter himself, despite the waiter told us TWICE that he is coming. The restaurant was not full nor busy, there were less than 10 tables and almost everyone got their food already. Except our table left hanging without being able to order. Whenever we made eye contact and I said we are ready, he would ignore and go to other tables picking up plates etc miscellaneous stuffs ( except the two times he said he was coming which he DID NOT). The funny thing is — which I’m really mad about, it is very obvious he ignored us and when our order was taken by the founder, he stop cleaning and suddenly is not busy anymore. I can wait 10 minutes or so if it’s busy, but half an hour with deliberate ignorance is intolerable.

I am very disappointed with the service, I really hope the restaurant take action for this. For context we are Asians, I hope he did not do this out of discrimination, we have done nothing wrong nor being rude to them. If any, we were being friendly and polite. I would be happy to hear feedback from the restaurant on what we have done for...

Eating at restaurant Modemar was a magical experience, from the beautiful view of the Harbour till the amazing food cooked by Moreno! You can see his background coming from Michelin star restaurant in the care of each dish, and also his passion! What we ate was very interesting, tasty, colorful and well presented. You can feel the mix of heritage, from Italy to Mallorca with some Asian touch here and there. My favourite... The Caprese! Vitello tonnato at second place😬 And don't forget the dessert! Their Negroni cheesecake will change your life!

We had a wonderful evening at this beautifully located restaurant right by the harbor. The view of the sea is simply spectacular – worth the visit for that alone!

We were there with our kids, who were quite loud and energetic that day. Still, the service was incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive – we really appreciated that.

The food was absolutely perfect: fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The seafood dishes, in particular, were amazing!

This is definitely a place we’ll come back to – a clear recommendation for families and food...
