Chrimalù — Restaurant in Santanyí

All in all we went to this restaurant due to good google and TikTok recommendations. The service was very friendly and fast.

The menu overall looks very good and includes dishes you won’t find in another restaurant at Mallorca.

As a starter, we had Calabrese and calamari. The calamari was great, but regarding the Calabrese, we can only say that it tasted good — the tomato slices, however, were far too thinly sliced.

For our main course, we both had pasta. Unfortunately, the black noodles with prawns were completely overcooked. The flavor wasn’t light as you would expect with garlic — it was heavy and oily. The noodles were overcooked to the point of falling apart, and the prawns were overcooked as well and no longer firm.

I only ate half the plate. After that, I had stomach problems and felt uncomfortably full. Later that evening, nothing helped anymore except vomiting.

I have no idea whether the pasta was colored with squid ink and I reacted sensitively to it, but it also wasn’t particularly enjoyable.

My husband’s pasta, on the other hand, was very good.

All in all, we give three stars...

We chose this place because of the great ratings on Google, and the ratings did not disappoint. We were greeted by a super friendly waitress, who was happy to take our orders while having a random little chat with us. We ordered Spaghetti Bolognesa, a grilled Sirloin Steak, and some fried Squid Rings. We then had a very interesting Cheesecake (like super good-interesting), Tiramisu, and coffee. Everything tasted great. The medium-cooked steak, itself, was juicy and soft and was complemented well with some pepper sauce. All in all, the experience was a great one. Mediocre at best food! Service was good! With the multitude of options here, I would recommend you find another spot The dinner menu might be better!

Updated: just look at the owners response and you'll know further more what kind of establishment you're entering. Downgraded to 1 star based on the response. To the owner: the food was not good! Was pretty bland (lacking flavour) and the quantities were also not good for the price but really the biggest thing is the taste. If you want to improve, also start by rethinking your responses to reviews and focus more on making the food taste better.
