Indiana John's — Restaurant in Santanyí

I’m rating this place as a 3 star as there was more negatives than positives. The quality of the food wasn’t great.I ordered a chicken curry, chicken blatantly was overdone and not marinated , rice was underdone and the sauce was mediocre . Despite their claim that they have expert Indian chefs , have they not heard of marinating the chicken in yoghurt like all proper Indian restaurants?? the kids meals were ok and my wife wasn’t blown away with her meal either. Compared to other restaurants in Cala d’or , it is also quite expensive. The staff were pleasant but not really proactive, nobody seemed to be dedicated to our table. I kept on having to get their attention which is annoying. The place wasn’t even busy as we were out early having young kids.

The positives are is that is a bit of fun. They have cheesy 80s music on , Like top gun soundtrack-esque. They seem to be well catered to kids with colouring books and crayons, they were very quick with providing that. The seating area across the street from the main restaurant is actually quite nice and spacious. The guy on the street is a bit of a character and very good at getting you in, it worked on us!

For a decent feed, I wouldn’t be going back here. I’d say it would be a perfect spot for a drink. But for the price and quality of food, it needs to up its game a lot.

There is a superb Indian in Cala d’or, Spice of India. If you really want good Indian food , i would strongly recommend that . Doesn’t have the fanfare of Indiana johns but food...

Extremely disappointed after a ruined evening on our holiday... Service was very slow. The staff were nice apart from when we had to send back an uncooked half chicken (and the manager). The manager argued and insisted "we go into the kitchen to look at the chicken under the light!" We refused and we were offered an alternative, however, as we had waited so long for our food, we were unprepared to wait again. The bill arrived with the chicken still on! We asked for the chicken to be taken off and tmhe manager insisted we still paid for it! We refused to pay for something we hadn't eaten and just for what we had. The manager was so rude and even threatened to call the police who apparently like coming to the restaurant under similar circumstances. We left the restaurant only leaving the amount of money we owed (excluding the uncooked chicken!). Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and all over 10 Euros!!! For the record, we ordered 5 meals, ate 4 and only enjoyed 1. Save your pennies for somewhere tasty and go somewhere you won't be treated like...

Great meal and nice atmosphere. Apart from they added a 10% gratuity without my say so. I would have gave them that anyway but didn't after i had seen they had tried to basically fleece me. Ive been to this restaurant 4 times in the last few years and this has never happened. Dunno if its a staff problem. Questioned waitress and she said it was tax which was a complete lie as it said Gratu on it. Didnt want to make a fuss as there was a nice family next to me but was awful knowing someone was blatantly trying to rip me off and ruined my night. Nice food but the restaurant owner should really get to grips of this before it ruines there business. Beware. Wish id took a photo of the bill but if you look on trip advisor you'll see someone had the same problem and posted it....
