Just want to start by saying I actually found this spot on TikTok and expected it to be kind of edgy. I live in London and love places like this because it’s mainly small/sharing plates with interesting twists — and it definitely delivered! All the food was a solid 10/10. The wine selection was also great — if you order by the glass you just choose red/white/orange and they pour whatever they’ve got open, so it changes every time. I went for orange wine (in the photo) and it was absolutely stunning. I’ll definitely be hunting that down back home! There’s also a really cute shop with merch and wines which I thought was super cool — definitely worth checking out.
Food We started with the bread that came with burnt butter — but honestly, the butter was a little too burnt for me. The olives though… wow. They were massive, juicy, and honestly the best olives I’ve ever had.
From the small plates, we tried the boquerones, piparras & blueberry jam, then the deep-fried Camembert with jalapeño honey (the honey on this was absolutely sensational). We also had the confit tomatoes with tonnato — it was fine, kinda like tuna mayo, but it worked perfectly with the bread.
For mains, we only went for the butter miso tagliatelle with pecorino, and it was insane. Pasta cooked perfectly, the miso butter with the cheese was spot on. Food overall gets a solid 10/10 from me.
Service Service was alright — only two staff working and quite a few tables, so it was a bit stretched, but understandable.
Atmosphere This is where it felt a bit off. Inside was really bright, which killed the vibe, and the music was loud rap — didn’t really match the style of the restaurant in my opinion. We sat outside (like most people seemed to), but the inside felt disconnected from the whole atmosphere. If it were up to me, I’d say dim the lights, add some candles, set the indoor tables properly, and go for more chilled music — that would instantly make the place feel way cosier.
Overall I would recommend going if you’re into these kinds of edgy wine bar/restaurants. Just keep in mind this isn’t your typical Spanish tapas-style food, so go with that...
Read moreWe recently dined at this restaurant and, unfortunately, our experience was a bit mixed.
Even before we sat down, the staff made us read their presentation about the restaurant to make sure we understood the “vibe” and really wanted to eat there. We found this approach a little too much.
While the food itself was quite good, the welcome felt a bit snobbish and the staff somewhat pretentious. It seemed like they were a bit too full of themselves, which took away from the overall atmosphere. We really think they could benefit from toning it down to make the experience feel more welcoming and comfortable.
I personally own a restaurant and have been in the food scene… the main goal is to enjoy life, good vibes and good food.
This being said, beautiful space and food. Good luck...
