After looking for somewhere to eat in the area we were approached on the street by a lovely guy who took us to the resteraunt. We were a party of 11 and we're seated all together inside and the resteraunt wasn't busy. A waitress with a less than friendly attitude took our orders and from there everything went downhill. Main courses were served at the table before entrees and drinks...wrong orders were brought down to the table and when asked to rectify the staff were less than helpful. The food when it did arrive was lovely (except one children's pasta dish where the pasta was still hard) but the poor service provided and the lack of accountability completely ruined the experience. Futhermore when leaving there was no apology or offering of any sort of discount to make up for the bad service. I'm not saying don't go here but if you do keep it simple because they don't seem to be able to cope with large orders. As I say food was brilliant service was crap.

In response to the owner....the service was terrible from the minute we walked in the door. The lady got served a steak that was raw and without the accompanying sauce that was displayed on your menu. As for the pasta it was not al dente it was not cooked....instead of arguing and trying to deflect blame onto customers when they leave an honest review maybe try and resolve them in house on the night. Again the rest of the food was lovely I thought the squid was the best I've ever had but unfortunately the service was probably the worst and your response on here only...

One of the loveliest places my partner and I visited during our holiday to tenerife , we came back again for lunch after our wonderful dinner there two nights prior because we were so impressed with the service , views and overall food and drink. The flavour , quality (and price!) of everything was wonderful. I didn’t get any of the staffs’ names but we had the same waiter both times and he was very friendly , always incredibly fast service and despite his minimal english made much effort to be friendly and overall lovely to be served by. Our first visit , I got the salmon cream pasta , and my partner ordered a steak. Both were amazingly cooked and full of flavour , and portions were perfect ! A little extra note , the plates were beautiful and very clean (I appreciate a fancy plate although i’m aware most don’t look for this in reviews lol). Our second and final visit before returning home we ordered the volcana charcoal pizza with a mixed salad to share and this was equally , if not more delectable. The drinks we ordered , cuba libre and long island iced tea are made to a perfectly strong degree , in large glasses with plenty of ice and delicious flavours once again. If we return to puerto de santiago we will definitely be back ! I absolutely recommend this place , definitely head here rather then the overpriced and slightly underwhelming La...

The service was very unfriendly and inattentive. At the table next to us, a plate fell to the floor - no staff member in sight to help. Even when our drinks were empty, nobody came by to ask if we wanted more.

Wrong dishes were brought to the table, and everything arrived after a very long wait - and at completely wrong times. While some guests received their starters, others without a starter got their main course immediately. By the time all six of us finally had our food (after about 60 minutes), some were already finished eating.

The food itself was very disappointing: the pizza was burnt, the pasta was undercooked, and the filling was completely bland. The fried calamari tasted like they had been defrosted in a microwave. The fish in the pasta was tough and flavorless.

Our table for six was simply squeezed between other tables, leaving almost no space. Inside the restaurant (away from the outdoor terrace) it was uncomfortably hot - there is no air conditioning.

When it came time to pay, a question about the bill could not be answered immediately, as the staff couldn’t explain all the items listed. The price does not match the quality of the food and service. Overall, we cannot recommend...

We went to an Italian restaurant yesterday for dinner, choosing it based on good reviews. We ordered bruschetta with tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil — but what we received looked more like a pizza. It was quite strange to call it bruschetta, though the taste wasn’t bad. However, it was extremely salty. I ordered the carbonara pasta and my husband had a pizza. Both dishes were decent in flavor but again — very salty, just like the bruschetta. The service was also a bit odd. We didn’t have any conflicts, but the waiter kept coming to our table every five minutes to ask if everything was okay, which felt a bit too much. We were also given our leftovers packed to go without even asking for it, which was unexpected. The menu itself is good, but it seems like they might have an issue with the chef. There was a couple sitting next to us who asked how we liked the food, and when we told them everything was overly salty, they said they felt the same. The waiter is clearly trying very hard, but it doesn’t really work — we would have preferred a calmer, more relaxed dining experience with a bit more privacy.

Dining at “Il Sorriso” was an unforgettable experience that captured both our hearts and our palates. We arrived just in time for sunset, and as the sky melted into hues of gold and crimson, the view of the ocean stretched endlessly before us, creating an atmosphere of pure enchantment. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the paella—a dish that can only be described as one of the finest in Tenerife. Every bite was a symphony of flavors, perfectly balanced and crafted with care. To complement the meal, we indulged in two mojitos, prepared with an artistry that elevated this classic cocktail to a whole new level. The combination of the breathtaking panorama, the gentle ocean breeze, and the extraordinary cuisine made the evening feel like a dream. “Il Sorriso” is not just a restaurant; it’s a sanctuary for the senses. If you are seeking a romantic and unforgettable dining experience, this is a place where magic truly happens.
