Bar El Sardinero — Restaurant in Seville

Where do you start.... We asked for our drinks 3 times, and each time the waitress acknowledged us but she clearly had forgotten our order. Our drinks finally arrived. we asked for a menu 3 times after our drinks had arrived, with no luck, so after 30 minutes, we got our own. After the start we had trying to get our drinks and a menu, we would normally have paid for the drinks and left but some spanish friends of ours had recommended the croquettes , so we stayed. We managed to order 3 tapas dishes and some more drinks. After about 30 minutes, 2 of our tapas dishes arrived but no croquettes, we asked, and the waitress said, "They're coming," After 1 hour still no sign of croquettes we asked another waitress for them, she said she would check, she came back and said they had not been done but they could do them now, we said not to bother we just wanted to pay the bill and go after the service we had. Why we were getting such a bad service, we also noticed the following, A couple sat down on a table at the side of us, waited 20 minutes, and then got up and left as no waiting staff had attended to them. Another couple sat down on another adjacent table, ordered drinks, and a menu drinks arrived after 20 minutes but no menu.they went and paid inside and left. Amazing food, and really great value for money!! I knocked off one star because the waitress that took our order was incredibly rude and didn’t have any patience with us (we couldn’t speak Spanish and she couldn’t speak english). She spilled the sangrias all over our table but did not apologise or even bother to come and wipe the table, and she did not give us any napkins as well so we had to wipe the table with our hands. I ordered the salmon tartare but got tuna tartare instead. The waitress also confirmed that the salmorejo cordo does not contain meat, but my vegetarian boyfriend got a spoonful of chorizos, but the manager kindly changed it for a vegetarian version. Maybe the waitress was just having a bad day as the other wait staff were really friendly and nice.

But the food is amazing! The tuna tartare was just delicious and fresh and came in a huge tapas portion at only €4.50! I was so shocked I thought the waitress thought I ordered a full plate (€11.50). Sangrias came in huge glasses as well and were...

Nice food & reasonably priced. Unfortunately the male staff get 10/10 for looking young & trendy, but 1/10 for service skills; waited for ages to be given a menu, eventually grabbed one myself, then waited for 10 minutes after I’d chosen to be served (or greeted) by the waiting staff. Despite all standing around outside the non busy restaurant chatting to each other I couldn’t get their attention. Walked in & waited at the bar until a member of the kitchen staff went & got them for me. No apology or hello, just a raised eyebrow waiting for my order. Eventually was delivered the tapas not the main as requested (ate because I couldn’t bear to send back), then after asking for the bill had to remind them ten minutes later as they’d forgotten to bring it. Pity; great location & pleasant food, just a constant struggle with waiting staff who made it very clear to me through their youthfully contemptuous sneers that I was being appallingly unreasonable by interrupting...
