Service was awful, would honestly give 0 stars if I could. When we sat down we asked for a menu, the waiter did not bring a menu so we grabbed one of an empty table, not a good start! We eventually ordered after calling the waiter over (still no menu). We ordered an arrangement of Tapas including a vegetarian paella and a beef paella. The food then arrived alarmingly quickly for hot food and the order was wrong. One plate was some sort of meat with chips and another was paella with another meat (maybe chicken, maybe horse) and prawns. We eventually got eye contact with a the waiter to call him over and he insisted we had the right order, the paella and the beef dish even though we clearly ordered (IN SPANISH) a vegetarian paella and a beef paella. As if this wasnt bad enough, the state of the beef was horrific, dog food would be a compliment! Must've been at least 5 days old and just have been sitting in a stew pot, absolutely disgusting. To round it off, we were clearly finished (although not much food was gone) for about 15 minutes and nothing happened. The waiter was busy stacking chairs while our table and others were requiring service. Eventually we asked for the bill and to top off a great lunch the waiter was smoking a cigarette at the bar while I paid him!! Would recommend for the hilarity but certainly not the quality of service or the standard of the food. By the way, I have never written a negative review before and don't think I ever will again but this was THAT bad. Only positives is that some of the food was ok: The paella had quite a nice flavour and I have had worse calamari before.

We chose this restaurant in the plaza near our hotel because it had a good number of patrons dining in the early evening. If you came after 6 pm, good luck getting seats. I had the delicious beef stew, which looks like a Filipino version called 'afridada,' with Spanish rice and fries. The location is ideal, and the menu offers a variety of entrees. Speaking Spanish to the waiter made ordering easier. They also allow dogs, which I love, but some should stay home if they bark a lot. Smoking is permitted, but the locals are friendly and considerate. I would definitely return to enjoy the beef stew and people-watch in the plaza, so I recommend this place. Food 5/5, service 3/5, atmosphere 4/5.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of La Alameda de Hércules, Seville, The Restaurant Las Columnas stands as a testament to the rich culinary traditions and lively spirit of the city. Known formally as "Las Columnas," this iconic establishment has long been a favored destination for both locals and visitors, offering a genuine taste of Andalusian culture.

The Navarrete family, in their pursuit of a unique and memorable dining experience, found themselves drawn to the colorful square of La Alameda, renowned for its eclectic mix of eateries and vibrant nightlife. Among the many competitors striving to offer the best of Seville's cuisine, Las Columnas shines with its unpretentious charm and delectable offerings.

Established many decades ago, Las Columnas has become a staple of Sevillian dining, expertly combining traditional tapas with a modern flair. The restaurant's name, meaning "The Columns," is attributed to the historical architectural features that adorn its facade, giving it a distinctive and recognizable presence in the bustling square.

Patrons of Las Columnas are treated to an array of exquisite dishes that highlight the flavors of the region. Whether it’s the savory jamón ibérico or the delicate gambas al ajillo, each plate tells a story of Andalusia’s culinary heritage. The atmosphere within Las Columnas is lively and welcoming, inviting guests to relax and enjoy their meals amidst the laughter and chatter of fellow diners.

Beyond its culinary excellence, Las Columnas is also a place where the spirit of community and camaraderie thrives. It serves as a meeting spot for friends, families, and travelers alike, fostering connections over shared plates and stories.

For the Navarrete family, Las Columnas was the perfect conclusion to their day in Seville—a place where they stopped seeking and simply started savoring. In a city where competition for the best dining experience is fierce, Las Columnas truly stands out as "everything" one could desire in a restaurant: a harmonious blend of tradition, taste, and the timeless...

A nightmare tourist trap! This was the worst experience I ever had in Spain and absolutely the worst restaurant in my life. I was in Seville with my Wife for our honeymoon and since we were just arrived at our hotel we asked for a suggestion for the dinner. This was the awful name they came up with, probably because they have some kind of agreement together. Have you ever heard of the rule "too fast too soon" for the dishes served? Well this happened, we asked the waiter to suggest us what was the best plate we could dine with, he suggested a Paella and a plate with pork and chips in a whisky sauce(I don't remember the name) and we agreed on these, the plates arrived in 3 minutes from the order we made. This alarmed my wife immediatly, how could the plate be ready so soon? Pre-cooked and microwaved? maybe, maybe not. This however wasn't the wrost thing, the plates WERE AWFUL! We tried just a couple of Paella whilst we have been in Spain for our 15 days honeymoon trip and I assure you not only this was the worst of all but either it resembled the frozen one you can purchase at any super market, or the supermarket one are really good or they are really bad at it. Lets speak about the shrimps in this paella, they had a bed smell but seemed fine, however I urged my wife to stop eating because I didn't want any food poisoning, since the plate I was eating (pork with chips) were basically drown in this "whisky" and the taste was awful. Can't say much for the pork it was neither good nor bad. I know I may look obnoxious but this was the really worst restaurant I ever experienced in my 37 years of life. DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE AND DON'T HAVE ANY...
