Karpanta — Restaurant in Seville

Great location, and there was a delicious baked feta appetizer, but the other items (non-vegetarian) we ordered were not even worth finishing, and the service was so-so. I would give 2.5 stars, but I had to round down since I would not give this a full 3 stars. Could be a good option for vegetarians though!

Edit: Maybe it was a different type of cheese for the appetizer, but it was served baked with miel de caña, nuts, dried fruit, and little toasts to eat it with. The hamburguesa buey was terrible. I would never order that again. And I don’t recall the name of the other appetizer, but if the restaurant can provide me with a copy of their current menu, I’d be willing to mention that one by name as well. It was some sort of sirloin and bacon in whiskey sauce (there’s 3 other options for this appetizer) and it was two pieces of disgusting bacon, and only one had a teaspoon size amount of sirloin hiding in it. We mentioned that to the server and they just shrugged. Highly disappointing. We did not finish eating that either and decided to go somewhere else after.

I have now changed my rating to a one-star after an unsurprisingly disappointing responding comment for the restaurant. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

My favourite place in Sevilla. Amazing food. All well priced. The staff make this place the best in Spain.

I came back here in early August 2022 for my partners birthday with his brother and girlfriend. Genuinely loved the food, it tasted as good now as it did in 2019. Despite it being busy the service was good and fast. Food was super tasty.

A special shout out to the staff who were so lovely and got me and English menu despite me sitting with locals who could speak and read the language. This place has lovely, friendly staff. I want to give a massive shout out to Monika whom also served us back in 2019. She was just as lovely now as then. So so so attentive, friendly and smiley. She couldn't do enough for us. It is staff like her and the others that you have that make a place like this. It still is my number 1 place to eat in Sevilla.

Can't wait to come back in September.

Karpanta get your croquettas...

Great place, reasonable food, ok service.

Food: we had the croquettes which were nice and a salad which swam in olive oil (bad) and had no taste (salt and pepper).

A friend had the burger which looked worse than a McDonald's burger.

Lastly, another friend ordered pizza which took forever and never came. We waited for around 30 min for it and by that time everyone else finished eating. The friend canceled the pizza and we left.

No compensation nor an apology was given (only when we reminded the waiter about the pizza and he admitted there was a mistake in the kitchen).

Drinks: The Sangria was awful. The worst we had in Andelusia.

The only good thing is the place that looked very warm and has food vibrant vibes. The waitera were friendly and smiling most of the time.

It's probably a nice place to go while being drunk after partying all night. That way you won't notice or care the food...
