Catalina El Bar — Restaurant in Seville

Our visit to Catalina El Bar was an absolute highlight, an evening full of delight, outstanding food, and warm hospitality! Each of us had a different dish, and every single one was perfectly seasoned and a true culinary dream. I chose the Iberian Acorn Fed Pork Shoulder Sliced with Chimichurri Sauce, which impressed with its intense flavors and „melt in your mouth „texture. My father had the Iberian Pork Plums Cut in Calabrese Cheese Sauce and Potatoes, a wonderful combination of tender Iberian pork, creamy cheese sauce, and perfectly cooked potatoes. My sister enjoyed the Chicken Cannelloni au Gratin, which was wonderfully creamy and rich, while our mother tried the Stewed Beef Cheeks in Pedro Ximénez Wine Sauce,an absolute delicacy, personally served to us by the chef. The meat was so tender it practically melted on the tongue. To top off the evening, we had dessert, which was the perfect finishing touch to an already fantastic meal. And we must not forget the Sangria, one of the best we’ve ever had! Fruity, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. A special shout-out to Maria, our waitress. She was not only friendly but also incredibly attentive and made us feel completely welcome. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the prices were very fair for what we received. We chose Catalina for a meal on our last evening in Seville. We had plenty of tapas over our 4 days with varying degrees of success with food and service but was searching for a something different. Plenty of looking through reviews but actually came across this restuarant on our way back to our hotel during the day and thought it had a nice look about it. We asked the waiter for a menu to check out the options for the evening, he was very friendly and had a kind way about him. We later discover during our meal his name was Raphael. Well presented, fresh and delicious food. The waitress was attentive and helped us pick which options were suitable for halal requirement. We chose to have Catalonian potatoes, cod on potatoes with spinach and garlic and an extra side of garlic aioli. The Catalonian potatoes definitely stole the show, they were spicy, well seasoned, with this chilli-tomato concoction and some garlic aioli on top. The interior was very impressive, with the intricate details on ceiling, floor and walls. Even the bathroom is nice and spacious.
