I came to Spain in the hopes of finding halal paella. My research before travel led me to a blog that spoke about this restaurant. After checking Google maps, I was happy to find out that this restaurant is in a savvy fashionable neighborhood in Seville and was near the river plus the bull fighting arena. They were clean, staff spoke English and our tableware was pleasantly colored with Andalusian patterns. All items were alcohol and pork free. Thankfully, mixed chicken and seafood paella was on the menu. We ordered that, croquettes, burrata arugula salad and fried seafood platter. The arugula and burrata salad and paella were perfectly made and delicious. My husband loved the croquettes but these were very filling for me. The mixed seafood platter was enormous and we couldn't eat much of it due to filling ourselves on paella, croquettes and salad. Also the dog fish and fried sardines may not be to everyone's liking. It was acquired taste. There was steak and grilled meats on the menu as well as dessert so I would highly recommend this place to travellers looking for halal food that is also authentically Spanish. Read moreThis is a halal restaurant right in the heart of Sevilla downtown, east walk from the cathedral. Food was so good and service was great! Food was served so quick in lovely plates, food preparation was so good. Portions are quite generous and made to perfection. This is one of the few places I’ve been to where my every one of my kids and me had a food to our liking, one of few times to agree on a restaurant 🙏 Grilled octopus was a new level of deliciousness, served on a bed of mix of olive oil and herbs it had a great kick yet not too salty or spicy. The tortilla de patata was very delicious and that’s were my difficult to get a good feedback son agreed with us that it was great choice! Burgers were so good, steak was made perfectly medium well as requested and the spaghetti for little one was so good but a very large portion for a child in my opinion. Room for improvement? Drinks. Very limited options of fresh juices and non alcoholic drinks Overall a wonderful experience and definitely a place I would go back to should I visit...
Read moreAwful experience. It was not a complete disaster because the food was acceptable. It started right when we decided to enter the restaurant. There was a woman with arms crossed, giving a mean-looking gaze and blocking the entrance; she was one of the waiters. The restaurant was almost empty, but that posture almost indicated that they didn't want anyone in. After we managed to get in, they told us we needed internet to browse the menu, and it was only after I insisted with more than one waiter that they finally gave us a printed menu. At the end, we had barely finished when they were already pushing us out, asking if we wanted anything else, and as soon as we said we didn't want anything else, they gave us the check immediately. They did the same to an elderly couple that was sitting next to us. We paid, and at the same time, they were already cleaning the table to fill it with some people who were waiting.
I definitely do not...
