Probably the best pizza I've ever had. I ordered their pepperoni pizza, and it was delicious, topped with flavorful pepperoni meat and scraps of basil leaves and shredded cheese. I was able to finish the whole pizza by myself.
The only reason I dock a star is because they were being a bit tricky. When we sat down, the server immediately asked if we wanted drinks, when we didn't even have menus in our hands. My husband said he was going to have a beer, and the server strongly recommended one, and he felt pressured to say yes as the server seemed to be in a hurry and had an urgent/impatient air about him. Go figure, when we looked at the menu, it was 3.30€ for the one he recommended, while all the others were around 1.40€. He also offered us olives, and we thought they were complimentary, because they have been complimentary at other establishments (kind of like bar nuts or bread in America). When we got the check, we were disheartened to see that we got charged for them along with the few breadsticks that also came with them, which was another 2.20€ we hadn't intended to spend.
He also kept asking my husband if he wanted more of the beer. The funny thing is, he did want more beer, but out of principle, he didn't want to get a second glass of the beer he'd just had because it was so expensive. Had the server let him choose his own beer and let us see menus before taking our drink orders, he definitely would have gotten a second or third beer.
The server also kept asking us if we wanted dessert. We had to say no so many times. "Dessert?" No, thank you. "Are you certain?" Yes, we are certain. "Coffee?" No. "Latte?" No. "How about some cake?" NO.
The service just felt tricky and pushy. But, again, the pizza is the best I've ever had. You win some, you lose some, I suppose. If the service had been friendlier and not so pushy, this would easily be a...
Read moreThe pepperoni pizza was delicious, but really let down by elements of the service we experienced when visiting yesterday. On arrival it seemed like there was only one member of staff working front of house, and so it took around 15 minutes to even get a menu. We weren't in a rush so weren't annoyed, however it then took around an hour after that for us to receive our pizzas and other diners were waiting similar time, too.
Additionally, we were seated by the toilets where a group of children were continually playing in there and shrieking with their parents not doing anything. I don't expect restaurant staff to deal with this directly however it would've been good for them to speak with the parents and ask them to get the children to at least not play in the fairly small toilets. Again, this is not a slight on the staff themselves but didn't help when the wait times were...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem in the city of Sevilla. I couldn’t find one point to deduct any stars. The owner was so humble and hospitable that at one point I felt like home. Even though they couldn’t speak English but they tried their best to communicate with us. We had google translator so that was not a problem. The food was served very quickly and what a pizza it was. We ordered 4 cheese pizza and it was Naples inspired thin crust wonder. This pizza was better than the once we got in Italy. One of the waiters was eating a candy and he gave us one as well (so hospitable). All in all, loved our experience and would definitely recommend this to others. PS: the pizza was so tempting that we forgot to take pictures and just...
