Found this place thanks to Google reviews. What a wonderful cafe bakery. First visit to Seville and this cafe and the staff are friendly and helpful. Supportive to you learning Spanish but also speak in English if you get stuck. We weren’t exactly sure of how to get served at first but approached the counter to wait. A couple of times we were missed but I honestly think that was down to us speaking to each other - so we weren’t interrupted. As soon as we stood with purpose and engaged, made eye contact with staff, we were served. The food we ordered was wonderful, I had the spinach quiche and OH MY WORD! Out of this world, I’m pretty convinced there was goats cheese in it. Whatever cheese it was it was lush and the texture of the warmed quiche with the salad and balsamic was spot on. Cappuccino for me. Appletiser and bagel with ham cheese and rocket for my partner. He loved it too. Highly recommended. The interior and atmosphere is also very calming and welcoming. One thing I also love is the thought to add hooks under the table for your belongings. Wish more places in the UK thought to do this. Facilities include - fully accessible toilet, baby changing space in there and I spotted a highchair too. Everyone is welcome.

Visited Panypiu both for breakfast and lunch today as it is near where we were staying. It was an excellent choice. A traditional bakery with a contemporary cafe front end. A huge range of breads, pastries, cakes, cheese and ham panini, sweet and savoury croissants. Sat in, had coffee and patties for breakfast. They asked us to sit and then brought it all to our table. Really good flavours and a full breakfast. We went back for lunch and took a variety of focaccia and sandwiches with various fillings. Cheeses, hams, mushroom and salads. Great service and always plenty of choice. They say judge a place by the amount of people that visit it. There were plenty of people there both times we visited but also space to sit in if you wanted. Take aways available if wanted. Seats are all inside and no pavement seats only because of the narrow road outside.

Panypiu - Bread and much more The best bakery in Seville! I’ve been trying many croissants almost 4 weeks in Seville. Among nice bakeries in the city, I found this place as my number one because it has more than just pan :) My favorites were the croissant and pain au chocolat. They are crispy outside, moist inside from enough butter. For me, the chocolate in pain au chocolat was also rich and just right. And the price is reasonable, the size is very generous. The staffs are so patient and warm- hearted even when it’s too busy which is always. They are focused on what they should serve. I think the team works very efficiently. I admire their work. I already became a repeat customer here. My breakfast time here was the happiest time during my stay in Seville :) I hope all best to everyone who works here. 👍

To the Owner: First of all, thank you for your quick response and apology. I understand that when things are busy, it is reasonable to expect to be treated on a "first come, first served" basis. That is why we politely waited in line for our turn. If only one of the two staff members had simply glanced our way and said "Uno momento," there would've been no misunderstanding. Please know that I try to always be a respectful visitor when I travel; I know I am a guest in your community and I truly appreciate the warm welcome I typically receive when entering an establishment. I just don't know what I did wrong in this situation. That said, I have been called an "eternal optimist," so I will plan to return for some more artisanal bread later this week. Warm regards, ~ BjF

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I don't understand the customer service I experienced at PANYPIU today. I am staying nearby and have already bought bread here a couple times, and I might add, the customer service each time was polite, pleasant, normal. So, when my wife and I stopped in today and there were 2-3 people in line ahead of us, I didn't expect there to be any difficulties. We politely waited for our turn, and yet after everyone else had been served, we were completely ignored—by BOTH of the staff members behind the counter. For several minutes we stood there...at the counter, but we were never greeted, nor welcomed; indeed, even eye contact was avoided. It was like we were INVISIBLE ...and I don't understand why. Eventually we gave up, exited the shop, and walked a short distance to Horno El Abuelo—where we were pleasantly greeted (it turns out we weren't actually invisible after all) and got what we needed at a better price. PANYPIU could have had my loyal business for the next month, but why would I return to a place that randomly treated...

Well... it’s cheap.

My partner and I got breakfast. You order from the bar. I had to wait some time initially only to be told they didn’t have the English breakfast (they only have 6 actual breakfast dishes and 2 of them are the English breakfast). So I asked for a moment and decided upon another dish, then proceeded to wait for ages while the 4 staff members walked past me repeatedly, standing at the counter waiting. Eventually, we ordered the bowl saludable and the menú tostadas. They immediately pulled the bowl saludable from a cupboard or fridge under the counter, fully made with all the ingredients in it ready to go. Who knows how long it had been sitting like that. As a result it was obviously a sloppy rather unpleasant mess. Shortly after, they arrived with my ham toastie which was literally just toasted bread with a piece of ham on it. I guess I just assumed it might have cheese or something on it as well. Either way it was bad. The coffee wasn’t much better either. In the end though, as I said, it was cheap; the only reason you...
