We visited El Pop on 7/5/2022. It was the first day we saw they offered a “Menu del día”, 13.50 €. 3 offerings for each course. First course, gazpacho, cesar salad with crispy chicken, and vegetable tempura. We choose gazpacho and Cesar salad with crispy chicken, excellent both choices. As a second course, they offered pork tenderloin, cod fish with pisto, and Pasta with sea scallops and shrimp, we choose the codfish, again, the dish was perfectly cooked with lots of flavors and very moist. For dessert they had cheese cake, brownie and a crema catalana foam, we choose the cake and the foam and, again, both delicious and the foam was super creative with incredible layers of flavors cinnamon, burnt sugar. All in all, an excellent experience, quality/price superior, affordability excellent. Congratulations to a very young chef, Nicole, whom we met briefly, my take on her is, creativity and respect for very good product, I think she has a bright future. Staff was very helpful and professional, specially, Pablo, very attentive and helpful with the choices we made. The portions are generous. Menú del Día (two courses, dessert, and a drink of your...
Read moreMy partner and I visited on a Sunday night for our last dinner in Sitges. We certainly picked the right place.
Online booking made reserving a table very straightforward. Manu knew our name as soon as we walked in and gave us a choice of tables. He was very friendly and created an inviting and fun dining experience for us. Decor is modern and classy. Our first thoughts were that the menu is impressive, fine dining almost - can they execute on it well?
The answer was yes. We had the Tuna Tartare & Burrata to start, and Octopus, & Scallop and Truffle Risitto for mains. For dessert, a slice of red velvet cake. Whilst all was perfectly executed with fresh high quality ingredients, the standout dish for us was the Tuna Tartare.
To round it off, Manu gave us complementary pallete cleanser shots. The only criticism we had of our experience was that we were asked to keep our cutlery for both courses, but this is very minor.
In summary: great food, reasonably priced for the quality, and friendly staff. Highly recommended for dinner...
Read moreI came to this restaurant last night with my three friends, one of our friends had been before. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. We ordered a bottle (or 3) of the Veiga de princesa albarino which was delicious.
The food was fantastic! We ordered Mejillones with garlic and verdejo sauce, and also the Mejillones with a leek sauce. The flavours were fantastic. We also ordered Pigs cheek which was so soft. The calamaries came with a curry sauce which was a nice change to the traditional salsa. I also loved the bravas!
The service was fantastic, The waiter whose name I cannot remember now (too much wine) very attentive and knew everythnig about to menu.
We were told at the end of the meal that the Chefs in the kitchen are 20 and 18 years old which is amazing!
They are offering a new twise on classic dishes and I highly...
