Horrible experience!! Place to avoid!!

Spent 1 hour waiting for my food. Others who came after me were fed before me, even though we had ordered the same. I didn't get my order eventually, just left the place at 3:20 pm without having had lunch. Unacceptable lack of professionalism. Longer explanation with more context follows.

I came to Sitges to watch a rugby game at 4pm. After wandering a bit around the city, I headed for lunch at about 2pm (not unusual for Spanish standards). I had checked this place during my earlier stroll and liked it, so I headed that way. Got there around 2:15. At the entrance, they had a blackboard advertising the restaurant. It had been knocked down by some heavy wind. Nobody had picked it up. I did, then entered the place. Sat down in the outside patio and told the waitress that I already knew my order (I had checked the menu before entering and already knew what I wanted). Despite already knowing what I wanted, until 2:40 they didn't come to pick my order -- and even though several waiters were continuously passing by my side. That was a big red flag that I should have paid attention to. More people came in, including two girls who sat right behind me. Average time to take orders was long in general. They served me a Coke which I had ordered to drink with the food, but the food never arrived. At around 3:15, the girls behind me were given their first course. They had been waiting for it over half an hour. It was the same that I had ordered, still no hint of my lunch. By this time I had had enough, so I called one of the waiters and told them I wanted to pay my Coke and leave. He went for a while and came back telling me that I didn't need to pay the Coke. At no point did he apologize for not having brought my lunch, nor for having wasted almost all the time I had allotted for my lunch. At around 3:20 I left the place. The best part of this restaurant is the atmosphere. However, the positive review unfortunately stops there. I have been to this restaurant 4 times over the years while visiting Sitges. The first two times were great, with a very notable decline in food quality and taste on the 3rd visit in addition to rude customer service. I just came back from Sitges (August 2025) and decided to give this restaurant another chance based on my first two experiences but this was by far the worst experience I had ever had at this restaurant, and any restaurant in Sitges for that matter. There was an older gentleman who was incredibly rude upon arrival with me and my friends, was frustrated when we asked questions about the menu and even walked away before coming back to take our order justifying his tone behavior as frustration with our questions about some of the components of their fixed price menu. Two of the four of us ordered the fixed price menu...the salad was OK, the seafood grill had absolutely no flavor and same for my friend's mixed meat grill. Neither of us ate half of our food. Two others ordered salads that were bland, beef carpaccio that was absolutely disgusting and a burger that was extremely dry. Such a shame that this once favorite restaurant of mine while in Sitges has gone downhill so badly. For the price, there are so many better restaurants. I would avoid this restaurant. Disappointing Return Visit Despite High Hopes

We decided to visit this restaurant again after our friends highly recommended it — they had been several times and always had a great experience. Our first visit was decent, though not amazing, but since it was Pride and our friends had made a reservation, we were happy to give it another try.

When we arrived, we gave the name under the booking. Initially, the staff couldn’t find it, but our friend pointed it out, and we were seated without further issue.

Things started off well — the prawn cocktail was good, and the French onion soup was delicious. However, it quickly went downhill when our friend received their starter of snails. They were still frozen, and even after sending them back, they came out frozen again. No apology was offered — instead, a waiter asked in a rather dismissive tone what was wrong. Another staff member responded in an aggressive manner, and the owner came over and said something in French, which unfortunately none of us understood.

At that point, we decided to cancel the rest of our order. It then took nearly 20 minutes to sort out the bill, and the whole experience felt like something out of Fawlty Towers — completely...
