We stayed in Sitges last week and were looking for authentic Catalan Paella. We were about to head to the port when we were reccomended Bon Estar from the wine shop next door (Vinalium) He mentioned that it was the best bar none in Sitges. We tried to go immediatly but they were fully booked. They only had one slot in the whole week so we took it. This was obviously a good sign and apparently is the norm for this place. We returned on the Saturday for our booking and all i can say is that you have to come here if you visit Sitges!! My partner is Gluten Free, which we mentioned, and the waiter was superb in his understanding. The Paella dishes were naturally GF (which was great) and they mentioned they could do her some GF bread. It came heated up in a little pack (relief as no cross contam) and was delicious. We went for the Prawns to start, they were baked in a garlic sauce, HUGE portion and were so good! We then of course went for the Seafood Paella as main. It was easily the best Paella we have had. They bring you the plate over before dishing it out into even portions. We both loved every bite. We cant wait to return and would reccomend anyone to go here. Just make sure you book at least 3 days in advance!! One last thing, the service was superb which for us makes a...
Read moreWe left a bit disappointed.the mussels were not good, too much vinegar and too sour.. tartar tuna had no taste because of the sourness. (Usually starters are supposed to be the best dish but here they were the worst dish) Fish we ordered was ok but nothing very spectacular, there are better (and cheaper) places in Sitges.
A lot of people were eating rice and paella in the restaurant, so you might wanna try that.
The atmosphere and vibe isn’t good enough to put up with the food, we joked how the decoration of the shelves was similar to that of ikea:)) Could’ve improved the atmosphere a bit and added a more unique touch if the owners went to an antique market, bought something so it’s interesting for the visitors and could be a good conversation starter. I really liked the music,I’m really glad they put that. Also would be nice if they got rid of the paper tissues in favour of fabric. Would definitely level up the experience!
Overall a lot to be improved! However they probably will have no reason to since they get fully booked quite often and the...
Read moreI tried to book a table by email but Noone responded to confirm. It was for my husband’s birthday so we went there to see if we can get a table. The owner lady who greeted us kindly arranged us a table outside even we didn’t have a confirmation.. Food is great and sangria was homemade full of fruits & delicious. The only down side of the evening was our waiter Diego. All night he acted like an upset teenager. We struggled to get any eye contact or a smile. All night he acted like he didn’t want to be there. Clearly Hospitality is not his future because he doesn’t know customer service. He did not ask once if everything was ok, he only acknowledged us & said thank you when we asked for the bill.Luckily the owner lady was walking around and checking tables to make sure everyone is fine. She recommended a dessert and it was fantastic. Prices are very reasonable as well. I recommend this place fully but try to sit to a section away from the...
