El Jameo Restaurante — Restaurant in Tías

Having read a few reviews about how it gets here on a Friday evening it's worth noting that we ate here on a Thursday evening during mid September so the place was relatively quiet. The service was excellent. Food was really tasty, well presented and plentiful. The open air dining experience is always part of the charm when eating out in warmer climates and this place didn't disappoint. Elevated from the main strip/roadside by a few metres, the view casts a good gaze over the water to watch the world go by as you enjoy your meal and drinks. A number of items on the menu weren't available when we arrived. The choices left were still good and what we ordered was lovely. Deserts were the pièce de résistance as they were incredibly nice. Pros Amazing service and hospitality Didn’t have to wait long for food Food quality is good

Neutral Spirits were free poured in front of you - I think their USP is to get visitors tipsy/merry in order to have a good time opposed to serving amazing food.

Cons Portions were quite small (notably the seafood section of the menu). If I were to return the chicken items/steak items would be to go for. Visited here a couple of times. It's a lovely small family run restaurant. Food is very good, service is attentive, friendly and efficient, but because of the family run nature, depending on how busy it is, you can wait a while as service and food are limited by the capacity of the family doing service and food prep, but that's the attraction of the place for me, a very good relaxing meal where there's no deadline and you get a personal service and a lovely freshly cooked meal.
