I. recently dined at this Chinese restaurant in Lanzarote and was absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff greeted me with genuine hospitality.

The menu offered an extensive selection of authentic Chinese dishes, and I must say that each one exceeded my expectations. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, showcasing the skill and expertise of the chefs. The presentation of the dishes was also impeccable, adding to the overall dining experience.

The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff members who were more than happy to assist with any inquiries or recommendations. They ensured that our dining experience was flawless from start to finish.

Since coming across this hidden gem, we have had two wonderful meals, they were fresh, incredibly tasty and portions were perfect, thanks Chef! The owners of Hong Kong Island were lovely, made us feel instantly welcome, checked our dietary requirements and as I am one of those that has several, he went out of his way to double check with the chef that the dishes I wanted were suitable for me and they were much to my delight! So if you are staying in Matagorda or in the surrounding areas and want a top notch Chinese Restaurant that ticks all the boxes then I strongly suggest a visit to Hong Kong Island! Speaking to other regulars they all have said the same thing that it's amazing 👏 So glad I didn't try Fu Gui opposite, as it's been very quiet and the staff aren't as friendly.

We love love love this restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing. Tonight, we had the duck bamboo mushrooms and it was the moistest, tastiest duck we've ever had.... with crispy fat! We also had the prawns kungbao and chicken in chilli sauce (all 3, main dishes)...tasty, fresh ingredients and the vegetable rice we had was soft and fluffy. The staff are really nice and friendly and very genuine. We are only here for a fortnight and 8 days in, we've been here twice and plan to come again before we go home. It is amazing value. For the above (a decent 1 portion of vegetable rice) and a bottle of house white it came to just over €36! AMAZING value for money! And a Honey rum, a brandy and some sweets thrown in!
