La Carmencita del Puerto — Restaurant in Tías

La Carmencita Del Puerto is not just worth a try…. This is a „must try“. As we arrived in Lanzarote, we asked the owner of our appartment some recommendations where to eat. He told us that there are lots of restaurants on this island, but that there is one place that we may not miss to try out. And now we know why.

We tried it in the first evening, and we were so excited about it that we kept going there EVERYDAY until the end of our vacation (even my parents, who were entitled for all-inclusive in a 5 star hotel could not resist anymore). Whenever somebody asks us about our memories of Lanzarote, the first thing that will come to our minds would not be the nice weather or the nice beach, or the really beautiful sights. Instead it would be this restaurant. I guess this expresses how superb our experience with this place was.

My family and I have a really high sense for good foods and service. We love to cook ourselves and we have been to so many restaurants (also several restaurants awarded with Michelin-Star). But for me this one brought it to another level.

The recipes are like a melody, the ingredients are of the highest quality and the owners were charming, funny and full of passion. You can feel, that they love their job, and that this restaurant is not only a job for them, but also their passion. You can taste that in all of their dishes (and honestly we tried all of them. We did not miss a single dish on their menu).

So this is the first time that I set up a 5,0 star rating. And it might be the last time, because this place raised the bar for all...

This restaurant was absolutely lovely for an evening meal! I had enquired about booking on their website last night and they got back to me this morning confirming the reservation. The restaurant is on the first floor of the complex. Inside, the atmosphere was lovely. The decor was nice and they had good music (sounded Spanish) which added to the experience.

The waitress was very pleasant and explained straight away that 2-3 dishes would usually be enough for 2 people and that we could order more after if we would like. We ordered the tabouleh salad, roasted vegetables and the meatballs. All were delicious!! And she was right, we were fairly full after sharing 3 dishes! We had sangria to drink which was also very tasty. For desert we had the brownie with salted caramel ice-cream. This dessert was absolutely delicious, we are so glad we ordered it!! The bill came to about €63, which we thought was a very good price for a fantastic meal and experience!

Great food, great drinks and great vibes: our absolute favourite restaurant in Lanzarote! Once you visit La Carmencita del Puerto, you will keep returning.

Me and my husband visit La Carmencita at leest once whenever we visit Lanzarote. We can highly recommend the pollo a la pepitoria and choricitos, but anything they serve is delicious and made with fresh, local ingredients. The homemade sangría is also a must-try. My husband loves the goat cheese ice cream more than any other food in the world: it's just that good!

The owners are absolutely lovely and the staff is great. The new location is great: very accessible and with a beautiful view over the ocean. The atmosphere of the restaurant is both very chill and super cozy: we always feel so relaxed and welcomed here.

We genuinely love La Carmencita del Puerto and we can't wait to book our next trip so we can come back to...
