Food tasteless, Manager rude, service appauling. We booked for 5 people online, in advance. We arrived at the booked time and the manager was abnoctious, attitude and cold. He said, you only booked for 2 people!! We should have left then, as 5 people were ready to eat at this place and we had booked for 5!! We were shocked at his behaviour, but didn't look into it. The manager walked us to a table and we ordered our starter and main course within 10 mins. The time was 8.10pm. What time did we get our starter? At 9.10pm !!!!!!!!?!?? I have been traveling since I can remember and been to some of the most amazing restaurants in the world and never, ever, ever, ever had I had to wait an hour for my starter! Was jazz bistro busy on the particular day, average amount of people not overly crowded. Was there enough staff/ waiters working not to my standard two people where working the rude manager and one sweet bubbly lady waitress. One hour! For our starter? We're there enough chefs in this kitchen, three with the chef outfits on, which were bopping around behind the glass kitchen. Looking like toys. Yes I think they're were enough chefs in the kitchen. So why the hour wait? We ask the manager? His response is amaze. You said there were five people, so I am waiting for 5 people. !!!!!!! Ahhh, yes we booked for 5 people and were expecting our collegue to attend, but couldn't, which we ahhhhh explained to you when we first sat down!!!!! At this point we were hungry and just wanted to leave. No you can't as we have cooked the food now, he says! We were waiting for your 5th person to come before we served you. Oh really!!! Pull the wool over my eyes Manager of jazz bistro. No apologies from the manager, just too much I know I am in charge attitude. The starter arrived at 9.10pm an hour later, so we expected it to be so fresh, so amazingly unique in taste with 3 chefs bopping along in the kitchen. Was it over the moon? Just bread with overly oily calamaris. Oh my what are they thinking. We asked the manager to just bring the maincourses with the starter. As we were parched by this time. No, he says!!! We don't do that, first finish your starter then we will bring the maincourses. Never, ever in my culinary adventures have I had such a sene. Outrageous!!!! We were at a stage we either made a sene or just took this experience as it came. We opted to see the miracles of our maincourses. We ordered chicken with chips and broccoli for my daughter. The chicken was tasteless, hard and overly chewy. Chips, cooked in oil which was overused, which made the 'homemade chips' taste like just manky oil!!!! Sirloin steak, not medium to well done. Hard, cold and just a bulk of meat on the plate. Boiled salted potatoes, bland. Seabass with vegtables a 15 minute oven job, that took an our hour to serve so the fish was now over cooked. Add salt to it and there you go, fish with salt. Okay. Spaghetti with vegtables and soya sauce, there was a taste of ingredients but hey ho! As a mother of two children aged 14 and 9 I know mothers out there that can cook a healthy, tasty meal for their children within 15 mins including a dessert. So I know timings and my ingredients when it concerns cooking. But this place was something out of a take the piss night, watch how I make these customers starve to death. I have dined at some of the amazing places on earth and never, ever have I had to wait more than 20 mins for a dish to arrive at our table. Even the most basic cafe serves better cuisine and timely dishes than this place. And hold on, this is called 'Jazz' Bistro so why no jazz music? Overall, my review of this place is appauling. For service, cuisine, customer care, ambience rate it a 2. That's the highest score a 2 and that's even pushing it. Outrageous and not an experience I will ever allow to happen again. A bad memory and a horrible place.

We arrived ( although 15 minutes early) and were ignored my staff for around 10 minutes looking at us but no gesture to say they will be with us shortly, they sat us down and after asking for a drinks menu became quite rude to say tell me, my mother wanted to see prices and options so went for a cocktail as it was the only drinks menu available, all priced at €5.50. To which they overcharged to 7.50 on the bill saying 5.50 is happy hour price when it says that nowhere, I also ordered the steak with black pepper sauce and chips, chips arrived to be cooked in day old oil and burnt, my mothers vegetables were mushy as if cooked from frozen, my steak was not medium rare but well done and the sauce was more of an instant gravy with pepper added with no option to pour it on yourself, after attempting to take it back to the kitchen I was cut off by a waiter to which I told him my issues. He did remake the steak without sauce however with alot of attitude and little decorum. When the bill came they overcharged for the cocktail and charged for the sauce I took back as it was disgusting, at €88 we took off the difference to €85 not too much. He then whistled us back to pay the rest after already telling him the problems, the service was awful, the food was even worse and there was little to no atmosphere, for a jazz bistro the least you expect is some jazz music, overall disappointing and would advice to go to la roma who took care of us after a wrong dish, deducted the price and gave a free desert even thought we didn't want to send it back as it was still edible, this service however is disgusting, save your time and money and eat at la romantic with gear service atmosphere and amazing delicious food

Situated in the centro commercial in Matagorda neat Puerta Del Carmen in Lanzarote you will find Jazz’s bistro. It’s a relatively small and ordinary looking restaurant but it is very popular and you’ll probably need to book as it appears to be frequented by a strong customer base of ex pats and swallows (winter migrating Brits). Food is well priced for what you get but not the best you’ll ever have, we gave it 7.5 out of 10, worth a visit👍

We found this little gem on the last night of our holiday. Sadly we would have been back again had we discovered it sooner!! One of the best fillet steaks I have had, the staff were extremely friendly the food was of a great standard and extremely tasty. We ate out every night whilst in Matagorda and found alot of the restraunts catered for every needs, but the quality was not always the best. Not here, the menu is smaller, very reasonable priced and absolutely delicious. The Jazz Bistro is a small restraunt so I imagine it can get quite busy, we were extremely lucky and managed to get a table without a reservation. The kitchen area and chef's looked extremely clean and professional, very reasonably priced with a generous complimentary shot of our choice for afters. We couldn't have ended our holiday with a better meal/service, it's definietly one we will remember for the better and if we visit Matagorda again we will...
