Ok, so this is a really interesting place. A little of the main strip and looks great from the outside. We were greeted at the menu with a glass of Sangria which is enough to tempt the wife. The inside didn't quite live up to the outside but was still very pleasant and the staff were very keen. There is a hot coal BBQ at the front which front which smelt great and clearly they do great steaks. So we choose the paella for 2. The kids had chicken nuggets and chips and a Spanish omelette with Canarian potatoes (she's getting more adventures!). Both were declared great. The paella was a little bit slow coming out and the staff weren't great at communicating the delay (kids had had their food 15 minutes before us). However when it arrived it was lovely (and plenty enough for 2 people) Great food, but only good service and interior drop it to 4/5.

What a lovely restaurant, tucked around the corner of the main strip (up from Walikiki Beach). Had the most amazing home made food, all cooked from fresh, steaks were cooked to liking on open grill and were super juicy and thick. Chef also recommended the homemade croquettes and desert, which were both lovely. Such a kind and warm welcome, despite us arriving late into the evening, nothing was too much trouble, so glad we ate here and it won’t be the last! Suitable for sole travelers, couples and groups, traditional feel inside, spotlessly clean and good selection of wines and beers. Far superior to anything you’ll get on the main strip!

Quiet when we arrived but don't be put off. This place is a proper gem. Whilst places on the main drag had queues outside this restaurant, just up a side street, had only two tables occupied. Glad we gave it a chance. The food and service was better than anything we've experienced this holiday. Garlic prawns were plentiful, hot and tasty. Steaks and pork chops as main courses were exceptional. Friendly service, great wine and, by the time we left, it was really busy. Take a chance, get off the main Avenida and try this great restaurant.

Just short of being rude the service was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The waiter we had (an old chap) was very abrupt with us and seemed rather grumpy about having to serve customers. His behaviour was also a bit erratic. Once he ascertained that we were English he gave us menus in English. Then a couple of minutes later he came over and asked if we were English and whipped the menus out of our hands and took them over to another table leaving us stunned and perplexed. We then asked for the tapas menu. He brought one menu over for the four of us. When he took our order he seemed to decide that 6 dishes was enough and was about to walk off. I asked for another dish and then he did walk off even though I hadn't actually finished ordering. He often seemed confused and would walk over to a table pick something up then put it down and walk away. We had to ask for the wine menu. When he brought us one it was in German! The food was quite nice though a bit over cooked. Thankfully the waitress took over half way through and at least seemed reasonably happy to be serving customers. There were only two dishes our daughter would eat so we ordered both of them. However one never arrived and nothing was said to us about it. When we received the bill it had been crossed off. Very poor communication. In the end we cut our losses, paid and left. We were still hungry so stopped at the supermarket opposite and brought some bits and bobs to fill us up with. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone but especially not to those with kids. Unless you're looking for a dated 70s vibe with...

If you like good food in very pleasant surroundings go to La Canada restaurant on Calle Cesar Manrigue.(Turn up the hill at Atlantico homes real estate office) We usually live just up the hill from it for 2/3 months every year and pass it most evenings if we go out. We have never used it before because it always seems so quiet. On the recommendation of a local we decided to give it a go and we are so glad that we did. We were met at the door by a very pleasant young lady who showed us to our seat and took our order for a very nice house red while we perused the menu.. We made a decision to order roast lamb for the lady and sirlion steak for me. They were delicious and cooked exactly as ordered by the chef on a grill in the main restaurant. The chef even stopped on his way past between the grill and main kitchen to check that we were happy with our food. We hade a sweet each which were both homemade although many of the desserts were of the bought in variety. This was all followed up with a complementary Ron Miel and a Baileys. We have eaten in most of the higher end restaurants in and around Puerto Del Carmen over the years and this one is certainly up there with the best of them.. Don't be put off if it appears quite from the street, it is a much larger place than it appears to be. I would also say that if you have a good appetite be sure to have a starter, we didn't, it was enough for us but some might want more.. We will be going back regularly...

Honestly would not recommend. Went to Lanzarote with 6 of my friends. We chose this place to go to for our last full day there. The menu looks good. Two of my friends one being my boyfriend chose the sharing meat platter which says minimum two people but only says it’s 22€ next to it. So we believed it was 22€ all together for the both of them. What they didn’t say to us was that it was 44€ plus tax altogether. We argued to what seemed like the ‘boss’ to begin with but once he had enough he just walked away and couldn’t care less. The two other girls that were waitressing “tried” to explain it to us but it just didn’t make sense. In reality they didn’t want to put 44€ on their menu because it would look bad. And just to add we were sat in their restaurant for 3 hours. 30 mins of that was waiting for our bread and butter to come out and another hour was waiting for our mains and then we waited 45 minutes for our bill to come to the table. We got up once and asked for the bill in person. Then the male young waiter came to our table and we asked for the bill from him. And then we had to get up a third time and asked to pay and he came over with the machine and we still hadn’t got the bill. The restaurant had three other tables in it. Was not that busy....
