Firstly, this is my own experience, I understand everyone has different experiences & businesses can have off days. I visited this place after seeing some recommendations. Location is tucked away & quite derelict, but the sea view really pushed that aside. Cold beer which was lovely. Cocktails are strong but not the best tasting, neither the worst though. My pina colada was okay, but it didn’t take long to split. The mojito didn’t have a string mint flavour despite seeing plenty mint in there, it was also warm as there was no ice. The strawberry daiquiri was lacking heavily in flavour, it tasted as if you’d flashed a strawberry at a glass of alcoholic water. I ordered a few tapas dishes to accompany, wings & prawns. The wings came in a sweet & sour like sauce with peppers and onions, but the wings themselves were unfortunately overdone & dry. However, the prawns were delicious. Hot, crispy, simply delicious. Read moreWe enjoyed several visits to Way West during our 10 night stay in Puerto del Carmen towards the end of April.
Yes, it's a little run down on the outside of the now almost abandoned commercial centre but; it has a massive terrace overlooking the beach and the coast with views to the mountains and the island of Fuertaventura.
The staff at Way West have used the terrace to their full advantage with tables along it offering different views and aspects.
We shared a few tapas dishes on our first visit, which were served piping hot and tasted delicious.
Each time we returned it was met with a friendly welcoming smile and, they remembered our drink choices 👍
