Asian Kitchen is an Asian fusion restaurant along the beachfront in Puerto Del Carmen. They specialise in Chinese, Thai and Japanese dishes; they even have a Teppanyaki grill and chef which is an experience you can book here. Even though we did not go for this experience it really added a fun and interactive energy to the restaurant. I wanted to see what vegan options they had here and was not disappointed as there was a decent selection. We were able to choose from a large number of dishes and substitute the protein for tofu instead. We tried the Tofu Massaman Curry and the Tofu with Black Bean Sauce, with rice and chips. Everything was very tasty and we were overall very pleased, they even threw in a free shot! We took the two different menus (+- €8 and +-€10).
One of us had ribs. They were dry, the bone crumbled in the mouth and there was not a lot of flesh on it, maybe cuz it was dried out. The rolls, some had a spring roll others a duck roll, on the other hand were good and were accompagnied with a tasty souce.
I had the green Thai curry chicken. It was hot, but not too much. We all lovend our main dish.
You must also choose what rice or noodles you want with the main dish. Try something else than the plain vanila white rice. You won't regret it.
We ended with yasmin tea.
Except fort the ribs, we all enjoyed our meals. Excellent price/quality ratio. I recommend...
Read moreWe booked a 6.30pm Teppanyaki show with two small children. The service was terrible and slow from the off..... The Tappanyaki chief disappeared for a prolonged period of time after the starter.... when he returned he started cooking other tables' meals rather then doing our food even though we'd been seated over an hour. The restaurant was not busy and only after complaining did we finally get our main course at 8.30pm, some of which was burnt..... The kids were in tears as they were hungry, fed up and tired. Whilst apologetic and reducing the bill somewhat, the excuses offered and the unprofessional service on offer was nothing short of a joke... I would not recommend this...
