Continental — Restaurant in Tarragona

Not recommended in 2023 :(

This place used to be very good! - Used to have attentive waitresses and great kitchen.

This season they hired ‘stoned’ waiters, that spend time talking to a lot of friends on the street instead of watching the tables. So funny and not professional for the restaurant level.

Even with the restaurant almost empty, the waiters were pushing the order, like yeah yeah I got it, ask fast bro… But I am intolerant to several things and I need to triple check (my spanish is limited)

In the end they delivered everything wrong and just threw every dish on the table after the third dish revisit. ‘Eat Pig’ - terrible.

The infra is lovely though. But I am not doing any favour to eat there, I am expecting great times. Frustrating

After eating, I got quite screwed and hard times with digestion for few hours.

I spent around 40 bucks that I would have preferred to spend in the Marina’s restaurants.

Hope the owners regroup the team and put back to the Continental Level once known.

Wow - unbelievable. This waitress (young girl, with a foreign accent - eastern Europe I would guess) first completely ignored us (preferred to clean a table next to us first). Then, after we asked her if we could order, started to demand us that we should go from the first row of tables to the last row of tables as this tables were only for four people and we were two. We told her that this are ALSO TABLES FOR TWO - just moved together (which was true - so it made no sense at all). She still insisted in an impolite way. Funny was also, that this place was basically empty. We said we would leave then and left. She seems to be jealous as we were in a perfect mood. And probably she hates people and life. No one is meeting guests at the entrance. So we grabbed a table on the terrace. After a while, the waiter finally appeared but only to ask if there will be two of us or someone is joining. When we confirmed it’s two people, he rudely requested that we take a smaller table as this one is up to 5 persons (the restaurant was half empty, with plenty of 5-person tables available). We replied that we’ll be happy to move if there are other guests needing this table. For which the guy just said OK, then disappeared and was ignoring us until I went inside to ask if we are allowed to order.
