La Novelera Cocktail & Beer — Restaurant in Teguise

I have been to a number of cocktail bars around Europe and Middle & North America, but I can honestly say, I wasn't expecting to find this in Lanzarote. The menu was limited vs. some cocktail bars I have been too, but I mean 'limited', in a good way, what they do, they do very, very well. They have all of the usual cocktails and a few slightly less known too. Staff were fantastic and the atmosphere excellent but, it was the quality of the Cocktails that surprised me, they were superb. If you are in the area, this place is worth a visit, it really is. The bar is small and with its own Mixologist, it was really authentic. Visiting as a young-ish couple and so sadly on the last night, we discover the BEST cocktail bar in the whole of Lanzarote never mind in CT after 6 nights of “after dinner drinks” listening to the Beegees, Michael Jackson and pub singers. We had the “Black Pearl” (the best drink I’ve ever had and we love our cocktails!) and the “Violet Iced” which just looked and tasted amazing, from the cocktail glasses to the garnishes and serving plates; there were so many more curated unique cocktails on the menu we would love to have tried, that we will definitely be back to try the next time we visit. Stopped in as I was passing, spur of the moment, decided on a “perfect Calima” The drink was a perfect balance of spice, sweetness, and a true delight to enjoy, as every sip was full of flavor that left me wanting more. The decoration was truly unique, with fresh fruit, a rose of cucumber and what I could guess as is lemon grass. The presentation was wonderful, the drink served with a smile by staff, who work effectively as a team. Though I was told there was a wait, the drink was delivered faster than estimated.
