Muellito — Restaurant in Teguise

This was our last day in Lanzarote. We chose this restaurant only because we were curious if the previous reviews would match the reality and also because the prices seemed very attractive. We came here on Tuesday around 3pm and were served very quickly. The kids ordered a hot dog, a hamburger, and some sandwich, while we ordered some sort of baked dish with fries, sausages, cheese, kebab meat, onions, and sauce. It was a strange dish, but very good, and we managed to get full with just the two of us. We also ordered drinks and beer, and then the famous barraquito coffee, which was the best way to end our stay. We hadn't tasted such good coffee in Lanzarote before. Left without ordering food after waiting for an age for the waitress to come for the order. Not at all busy. Asked for the bill for the drinks. 6 Euro. Paid with a 10 and the waitress seemed to decide that was her tip. Had to ask for the change with was “not quite” slammed back on the table. Siempre hemos ido con frecuencia, ya que se come bien y hay un ambiente agradable. Sin embargo hoy hemos tenido una mala experiencia, vamos que todavía no doy crédito. El local tiene dos zonas bien diferenciadas, una techada, dentro del local, y la correspondiente terraza (entiéndase, zona de no fumadores y zona de fumadores). Nosotros nos hemos sentado en la zona más cercana a la barra, dentro del local, y justo en la mesa de al lado se ponen a fumar, se lo dijimos al camarero y nos dice que todo es terraza y por tanto está permitido. Le dijimos que si hay techado no es así y nos discute que sí. Nos tuvimos que cambiar nosotros de sitio por no discutir, y desde la mesa nueva dónde nos sentamos me doy cuenta, que justo encima de la mesa dónde están fumando hay un cartel bien grande donde dice PROHIBIDO FUMAR.
