Abrasador El Ambigú — Restaurant in Toledo

This is a bargain place in Toledo where you can eat two meals at a time for the price of one. The waiter is a very friendly guy who offers hearty service. They help us take nice pictures for this precious moment.

Their lunch set is incredibly cheap, like 12.9 Euro, with more pricer choices if you opt for high end iberico ham. Yet they offer two dishes for each meal (huge), bread, a wine and a dessert. We got full after eating the first dish and could not finish the second dish.

The environment is simple yet comfortable, with beautiful drawings about Toledo elegantly hanged on the wall.

Their seafood rice is deeply flavored and highly recommended. The salad is loaded with fresh ingredients that speak for themselves. The fried breadcrumbs are okay for us.

For their second dish, mind their huge portion of meat and fish (two fillets). You may opt for less if you are not very hungry in order not to waste food.

Dessert is so so. If you are not a fan you may skip it.

This place is excellent. Wine selection was great and I was shocked to have a Spanish IPA that was better than a lot of American IPAs. That's not a style that is usually done well outside the US. If you want good beer, ask for Domus and see what they have.

The meat...I eat a largely vegetarian diet except when I go out so I don't get excited about meat. However, these steaks were out of this world. The T-Bone was maybe the best steak I've ever had.

The typical Spanish dishes were great which we ate along with the meal. And of course, dessert was excellent too. We had brownie and ice cream...

Lugar pequeño,ruidoso y lo que es peor,la comida dejó mucho que desear. Teníamos reserva de mesa a las 15:30 y hasta las 16:05 no empezamos a tomar la bebida!!! Tuvimos que pedir que nos trajeran la carta,a los 20 minutos de sentarnos,la mesa pequeña y coja,silla en mi caso de playmobil. El ambiente desagradable,en esto,no tiene la culpa el sitio,si no la educación de la gente que comen chillándose y haciendo ruidos estruendosos,mi hijo con 7 años en algún momento me decía que se quería ir o se tapaba los oídos de lo desagradable que era. Lo que si es culpa del sitio,es la poca simpatía del personal,salvo eso si,un camarero morenito con pelo corto(siento no saber su nombre)que estuvo muy amable cuando le tocó atendernos en algún momento.El resto del personal que en algún momento nos atendió,dejo bastante que desear. La comida por ejemplo,pedimos carne de segundo y la trajeron totalmente quemada. Imagino que pedir la carne muy hecha,no significa que tenga que ser quemada y con sabor a carbón. Pero otro comensal,pidió la carne en su punto y la trajeron exactamente igual totalmente quemada. La tarta de queso si estaba buena y fue lo único que nos gustó.
