CAFETERIA PALACIOS — Restaurant in Toledo

We were going to a restaurant we found on Google around 3pm but it was closing and they directed us here as they said they are family. I didn’t get a chance to check google maps prior to us going in as we only had directions and no name, probably wouldn’t have gone if I had. We went for the meal of the day 20 Euro each at the end I would have been much happier to have paid a maximum of 10 Euro total. The place is basic with a well used look, the toilets were spotless a big plus. We had prawns to start followed by a leg of Turkey on a bed of chips no thought on presentation, not much taste to the Turkey leg, we both ate the chips and left most of the tasteless turkey. Would not go there unless your desperate to eat something. I only told my girlfriend after we had left about some of the other...

If only i could leave 0 stars for the review i would. We paid 20 euros each for terrible food and badly tasting wine. We had macaroni for first plate. It was so precooked and heated many times that we couldnt grab the pasta with the fork and it was made with tinned ready made sauce. Second plate was roasted pig with chips. Chips was cold. The bread that we didnt eat was put back with the other bread which was going to be served to the other clients. Not to mention the desert which was a cheesecake with only cream which was done like 4 days ago....Never to...

Couple of daily special options available, with different price range (including drinks and dessert). Taste, quality and amount of food surprised us positively. As a drink we have chosen red wine and got a 0.5 liter for 2 people (big plus). Was not possible to sit outside and inside was a little bit too warm. Spanish food with some exceptions ( e.g. spaghetti Carbonara). Transparent menu. Waiters very nice, helpful and fast. Nice atmosphere. Some locals spoted as well....
