We had the Beef nuggets followed by the mixed meat plate for two. The wine was nice. I thought when they served the starter we had bread and pickles we didn't order this but we thought it was a standard thing that happens in Spain. The mixed meat dish I would have to say was one of the toughest dishes I have ever had, considering it was supposed to be Veal. Veal is generally very pale due to the cattle being reared in darkened barns. Speaking as an ex-head chef fillet steak should be cut against the grain and not as ours was cut with the grain this makes it tough when cooking, the Veal steaks were very tough as old boots as well. We asked for our meat to be cooked medium well (they have pictures in their menu to help show you the difference between rare, medium and medium well done) as ours came served almost mooing at us very rare. We asked for it to be cooked more this took 3 minutes it must have been microwaved which in turn makes the meat tough. I have to be honest out of the six weeks we have been dining in Spain this has to be the worse meal I have had. Oh by the way the bread and pickles we had at the start we're charged to the bill and we...
Read moreToo aggressive on their TripAdvisor promotion. Read the other complaints he’ll tell you he has a great rating. He does. He’s very proactive on his ratings.
Your continuing responses are both kind and telling. The fact that I left a 1 star does not prove anything. I just think you are very focussed on what happens on these reviews - more than average I’d say. We consumers need to be careful how we interpret the rating system. It’s a relative measure - are other restaurants as proactive as Eduardo?
Actually is was the truly awful La Excusa in Simancas where my (truly) negative review was removed. I have no idea how but got it back on after appeals, re logging into Google and then editing. I want fair ratings and the owners want the ratings as high as possible. If customers believe the ratings are over influenced by owners they’ll stop using them - and try to push back...
