Get Lucky Brunch & Bar — Restaurant in Torremolinos

We stumbled across Get Lucky whilst walking along the beach and decided we need ‘one’ drink and some shade to cool off!

Five drinks later we were still there enjoying the atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and want you to enjoy your time there.

The tv was on and I asked if they’d change it over so I could watch the F1 practice session. (Don’t worry, there wasn’t a football match on at the time.)

We had a conversation about F1 which ended up me asking could I reserve a table in front of the tv and watch it when it was on.

This was agreed, I turned up on the Sunday expecting my request to have fallen by the wayside and them think I was someone trying their arm but no, the table was there and they gave me the remote for the tv. All was good and the F1 graced everyone that was in the bar.

The fact that they did this goes to show how much they care about the customers that visit their bar.

Other F1 fans started to appear, have a few drinks and enjoy themselves.

As the race continued I saw a couple walk into the bar and ask if the Liverpool game was going to be on. Now, they could have easily changed the channel on me as the race was coming to an end but instead they asked me if it was ok as soon as the race was over if the match was put on.

Shortly after I handed the baton (remote) over to the couple that wanted to watch the match.

Not many, if any bars would allow this sort of thing to happen which is why I made such a point of highlighting it. The staff want to help, want you to enjoy your experience and it shows in the friendly attitude towards everyone that walks through the doors or sits at a table outside.

Food: I had one of the burgers shortly after the race with bacon, cheese and side of chips. Can’t remember which one on the menu it actually was but again, well prepared, well presented and tasted great.

We visited Get Lucky the second week of January 2024 with the intention of trying some craft beer and having lunch. Upon arrival when we walked into the bar area we felt like we were ignored despite eye contact from both a male & female member of staff. Once we sat down we were given the menu’s which were dogeared and dirty. By now we were doubting our decision to have lunch. What made up our minds was when we asked what “craft beers” were available as that is what caught our attention from the sign above the restaurant. Really good craft beer but our bill was incorrect as it included a glass of wine and half a beer which we did not have. This was corrected as soon as we pointed it out so could have been genuine mistake but there were very few customers and we didn’t have to explain the error, just handed the bill back and said “this is too much” which made me suspicious. Having had four incorrect bills since we arrived in Benalmadena, we are hyper vigilant so, if this was a mistake, please encourage your staff to be hyper vigilant also!
