Promochina — Restaurant in Torremolinos

I first visited Promo China over 20 years ago, and it quickly became my favorite spot in Torremolinos. Back then, I came here almost daily, and I’ve recommended it to every friend who has visited the area. My absolute favorite dish was (and still is) the BBQ sizzling beef – it’s truly outstanding.

Today, I had the pleasure of revisiting, and to my delight, the same lovely lady still owns and runs the restaurant. She is just as kind and welcoming as I remember. The BBQ sizzling beef is still on the menu, and it tastes exactly as amazing as it did two decades ago – full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and served sizzling hot.

The restaurant itself is low key and cozy, with a wide variety of Asian dishes, mainly Chinese cuisine, all prepared with care. It’s a hidden gem in Torremolinos, and I can’t recommend it highly enough if you’re looking for authentic, delicious food at a place with true heart and consistency over the years.

I came here to eat and i took a portion of dumplings: it was supposed to be six and she gave me five. I realized it later (i did take away) and i came back to tell her: she refused to believe me and told me i am liar. The food wasn’t even that good and pretty expensive (6 dumplings 7,40€). Moreover, i saw the kitchen through a door and the hygienic conditions are lacking (dirty pots). The lady is not nice and refused to give a bit more of soy sauce. Been here tonight for a meal and honestly I think it's the best Chinese I've been to. We had a feast. Had 2 spring rolls at a very cheap 1.95 each then salt & pepper chicken wings which were gorgeous. They have a very spicy chilli sauce on the table which was lovely with the starters. We then shared an egg fried rice with a dish if duck in chilli sauce and a beef curry. It was all lovely and what was nice was there was some nice veg in all the dishes. Amazing food and...
