Le Cafe Rouge — Restaurant in Torremolinos

Cute small place on a nice and calm street. The staff was really friendly and sweet. Nice for a relaxing breakfast or brunch. The food is overall very tasty. The toast with avocado, feta, olive oil and fresh tomatoes is amazing and great value for money (it's literally huge)! The croissant is great as well, both in taste and texture. However the marmellate (jam actually) that came with it, was the single portion one in the small plastic package (see picture) so not the best in general, considering also the price of the croissant. If you want the croissant, get the one with Nutella instead ;) The coffee wasn't great unfortunately. I asked for a cappuccino and what I got was actually a long filter coffee with a bit of milk in it and a little foam on the top, but nothing to do with a cappuccino although that's what they called it. Marvelous! Stopped by for a coffee and decided to stay for lunch and came back the next day for some more! This place made my visit to Torremolinos all the more amazing! Thank you. I requested a cappuccino and after that requested a café con brandy. Chatting with the awesome barista, she described the various regional names they have for coffee. I ended up staying for wine and salad (and for people watching:-). Came right back the next day for two more coffees and to try their other meals. I can’t wait to visit again. My wife and I had an absolutely delicious lunch here. I had a meatball baguette and my wife also had meatballs as a dish, rather than in a baguette. The food was really tasty and excellent value for money. My wife had some wine and I had fresh orange juice. The owner even left the bottle of wine at the table given that my wife was drinking it by the glass and there was a little left over. That was a nice touch. Very friendly service too.
