Monroe's Rock Pub — Restaurant in Torrevieja

El bar respecto a tamaño, distribución, decoración y cómo está montado (con juegos de billar, dardos, futbolin, etc...), fantástico. Seguramente resulte el templo rock&rollero para muchas personas en Torrevieja, sobre todo por el ambiente musical.

Y eso tratamos nosotros tambn cuándo vamos, que se nuestro refugio. Durante largos ratos solos o entre amigos y cervezas. Pero no pudo ser. Ya el chico de mediana edad que estuvo recogiendo las mesas el sábado, nos incomodó acercándose varias veces a ver si nos levantamos de la mesa en la que estábamos en la terraza. Diciéndonos directamente si nos traía algo de beber. Cuando ya le dijimos que no hacía falta, porque entraríamos nosotros a por ello.

Pero no debió de parecerle suficiente respuesta, y debía de necesitar muchísimo liberar nuestra mesa para ocuparla de nuevo. Porque volvió a venir y a decirnos, en un tono bastante maleducado, porque si nos hubiera hablado con franqueza y humildad hubieramos podido entender su necesidad y se entiende... "que necesitaba las sillas!". ¡Cuándo aún teníamos un trago sin terminar en la mesa!. Y vale, era el final de una cerveza solo, la mía. Pero es que estábamos esperando a que yo terminara para pedir una nueva ronda. Situación que evidentemente el camarero o responsable de terraza no pensó que fuera a ser así. Por lo que deduzco por cómo nos ha lo ha dicho estaba echandonos. Pero como coincidió que ya nos íbamos, porque al final cambiamos de idea y al terminar yo mi bebida nos íbamos a haber ido. Más lo incómoda que me hizo sentir este hombre con su actitud. Que no me sentí nada querida, lo contrario, como si no le interesase que estuviéramos en su bar. Sin motivo alguno por nuestra parte. Bebí el último sorbo y le dimos las sillas, que con tanto anhelo deseaba.

¡Pero con sentimiento del todo desagravle por la atención recibida fuera (que no por los camareros más jóvenes de la barra), de no...

Was really good earlier on when the owner took time to talk to us and the drinks were good but as soon as he went home it changed.. There was one person in particular who was behind the bar who thought he was a sixty year old hard man, the drinks went downhill and and the attitude was shocking... (your too old, grow up and realise you are not capable anymore, realise that and be nice to people) it was quite amusing to me... Also I saw the staff pocketing the change.... I feel really sorry for the owner who is obviously being ripped off as soon as his back is turned... Such a shame. Also evidence...

Great place - if you like hard rock and loud music (videos). What I find really great is that the bars are all smoke free. If you want to smoke, you can sit outside, though, in a nice crowd of people. Right next to the Monroe's is some space for parking your Harley or whatever you drive. The hard liquors are cheap and the glasses are filled up quite generously, however, people seem not to come here to get drunk. Another thing I really like in Spain. You get a variety of alcohol-free beers as well. You can play darts or billiard here. All in all: a really nice place to go, for people...
