Olhöps — Restaurant in Valencia

A bit of off taste comments about their beers and that they are expensive. This coming from the bartender. Thanks mate but I don't want to be made low-key poor by you. Learn some manners and customer service. Overall very unfriendly and impersonal service, made me feel that I was doing him a favour. Won't go back to this establishment, their other location has way friendlier employees.

Hi Pablo. You must have got my message wrong. I wasn't complaining about the prices. I know what the prices are and that you are paying for quality and not quantity, that's clear. I don't challenge that because I know this is a business and you need to make money at the end of the day. I don't mind paying 8 euros or more for a good pint.

The problem was that the comments about the price were made in a way that gave me the impression that you think I don't have the money to pay for it and I should settle for less. Which is unprofessional and not a comment to make.

I do not like leaving negative reviews but on this occasion I feel it is called for. I walked in this establishment to the back of the restaurant/bar to meet someone and before I even had a chance to sit down an employee (a tall male with a black hat) rudely and with a bad attitude told me I must purchase something right now to stay here. Of course a customer should buy something if he/she visits an establishment but there is no need to be so rude and have a very bad attitude about it. I was going to buy a drink after I greeted the person who I had come to meet. Apparently this employee with a bad attitude felt this was not sufficient and went out of his way to be very rude and unpleasant. This place sells a good range of craft beer, international brands and from their own brewery. They also make their own beer ice cream (tastes more like sorbet, but it was interesting). The Russian imperial stout and Olhops stout I had were magnificent. I like the (hipster) decoration of the place and display of international craft beer bottles.
