Dede Turkish Restaurant — Restaurant in Valencia

I’ve visited DEDE a few times—not for a culinary experience, but when I need something simple, quick, and satisfying. In the past, I appreciated the friendly, helpful service from a young waitress who brought a lot of warmth to the place—she honestly added 50% of the charm to the entire experience.

Sadly, she’s no longer there.

On our last visit, we were disappointed. There’s a new waiter—middle-aged, emotionless, and completely disconnected. It felt like a random person from the street had picked up an order pad and just went through the motions: takes your order, drops off the food, then stands smoking in front of the door watching you eat. No smile, no warmth, no sense of hospitality.

Honestly we ordered sis tavuk and sis kebab with fries. Waitress told us that it would take a long time. Sujested that we should take entree. Then they gave us our fries wich belonged with our main. I told them that it has to come with the meat. They said ok. Took it with them. 5 minuts later they brought the same fries back. COLD. I told this to the Waitress. She said the main will come. The menu del día is 12€. But actually in our case very poor value. The starter was borek which was good. The main was kofte tenerra. Very disappointed, 2 small flatbed koftas and chips. I asked why it was so small. They said it was fine and if I want I can eat more bread! They did after a few mins come out and bring one lone kofte extra. I then noticed other tables received 3 koftas. So good that they realised they were being mean with the portions. But overall, there are better value and quality places in Valencia.
