We couldn't eat or drink anything here so i cannot talk about the food and drinks.

We came here a few minutes before 8 pm to have dinner. First the staff ignored us, but brought us a menu when we asked for it. Then another waiter came out and asked if we had a reservation. We did not and asked if there was a table for 4 people to have dinner. He simply told us that we have to check online and left. So I checked online and made an online reservation for 8.30 pm. After waiting for a while I went inside, told them that i made an online reservation and asked if they could confirm it and if it is possible to have some drinks now untill dinner time starts and have dinner at 8.30 pm. The waiter said yes we could just sit outside everywhere where it does not say reserved. That's what we did.The whole restaurant was still empty. But then the other waiter came outside again and said if we have no reservation we cannot sit there. I told him again that I made an online reservation now waiting for confirmation and if he could just tell us if there is space for us or not as we are already here. He told us we could not stay, so we finally left. Just to receive a confirmation of our reservation at 8.30 pm a few minutes later.

I cannot understand how a restaurant can be organised so badly. We ended up having dinner in a wonderful restaurant nearby with very...

Unfortunately, our experience at VARQUÉS was very disappointing. The service was extremely poorly organized from the beginning to the end. We waited about 30 minutes before anyone took our order, and only 5 minutes after ordering a different waiter came by asking if we had already ordered.

The staff was unfriendly, both when taking the order and when bringing the food. After finishing our main meal, it took a long time before anyone came to ask if we wanted a dessert which was included in our menu. After ordering a tiramisu, the staff let us wait again for a long time, although the desert was ready-made and simply needed to be taken out from a fridge. As we became impatient, we went to talk to one of the waiters who was there and who called our initial waiter, who was on his phone and chatting with other waiters although we were obviously waiting and unhappy. When he finally showed up he didn't bring the tiramisu but asked us if we had already ordered a dessert, which we had already with another waiter a long time before.

Overall, the service was chaotic, unprofessional, and not welcoming at all. During this 2h dinner, we spent most of the time waiting, which would have been even more if we hadn't called them.

Finally, the food was barely average, therefore not bringing any highlight to this extremely...

I would not recommend this, only if you want to stay till late. The Sangria is made with Fanta lemon, I tell you the secret so you do not look for it. Please do not take coca mortadella pistachio, is a big scam, is a small bread with ONE slice of mortadella and pistachio sauce like on the ice cream. The aubergine was decent with the cheese sticks though the cheese sticks were not from the same movie as the aubergine The sepia was very chewy BUT VERY CHEWY also tasteless The paella was the biggest scam experienced, little sea fruits and 2 prawns , will attach picture. The rice was not cooked and burned in the same time, tasted like the pot. The steak was decent, cooked good but lacked taste, they bring you a sauce to top it but it is literally oil with little to none herbs in it. Coca with brie is actually a slice of pizza. The menu says during the week 15€ and 19€ for paella but you pay extra for starters and dinner main dish. The atmosphere was nothing authentic, elevator music, friendly staff but nothing special that you cannot have in a donner kebab shop We did not took the desert because we had no faith left in this restaurant. All in all it was not a good or bad experience but the food was definitely bad, basic and not even cooked properly (except for the steak and half half for...

We had a nice evening but there were some issues with the system of the restaurant. So we arrived on time and got seated, they came by really fast to ask us what we want so we weren’t ready yet. After that they didn’t come by for a while before we ordered drinks and the food in one go because we were afraid they wouldn’t come back too soon otherwise. We shared Paella as a Menu and got three sharing Plates of Tapas as a starter. It took literally 35/45 Minutes for the first bite of food to arrive at the table and unfortunately the Tapas were served so far apart we couldn’t wait for Everything to be there together so we ate them separately. By the time the second Tapas were finished we were still pretty hungry. About 10 Minutes after the Paella arrived, I asked for the third plate of tapas and they brought it out in no time and ofcourse it wasn’t the Ham and Cheese but the mushroom version. Whatever, we just ate them and the paella. The Paella was good, perfectly salted! Unfortunately the rabbit meat was very very dry so we couldn’t eat a lot of it. Otherwise it was decent, freshly made and as a dessert we chose the Tiramisu which was okay. For a menu the price was good but then we had the deficit of service and accuracy with the dishes…overall not the worst place to go if you want to try Paella but we wouldn’t come again.

If you're around Ruzafa, you have to check this place out. The atmosphere is super relaxed and welcoming, perfect for eating out with family or catching up with coworkers or friends. We also saw a lot of expats, which gives it a cool vibe. But the best part: the tapas! The Piadana was the absolute star-seriously, you can't miss it. Crispy and flavorful! Also the Croquetas de Sepia? Gone in seconds. We'll definitely be back for the Arroz al Horno, Paellas and Fideuas. Here's what we ordered: Piadina Hummus con pan de pita Croquetas de setas Croquetas de sepia Bravas Boquerón frito Puntilla Calamar al andaluz
