Walked through masses of people during the festival to make it on time, only to be told no kids are allowed. Was then told we could stay but only if kids don’t cry. They are KIDS! That’s a NO for me. We celebrated both our birthdays at Chocomeli. What an absolute treat. The family-run restaurant is in a prettily decorated space with interesting artworks on the walls, they welcome you warmly and are amazing hosts, but deep down, they are all about the food, and the menu was varied and exciting and every dish was flavourful and delightfully presented with such pride. Warning: Don’t bring your kids After battling through Falla mobs for an hour to arrive at this restaurant, the owner turned us away at the door because we arrived with our kids aged 7 and 5. No where on their website, trip advisor or anywhere on the internet does it say no kids are allowed.
