I don't know why La Buganvilla isn't more popular with foreign visitors - it's certainly popular with local people, who come for their Almuerzos (enormous mid-morning baguettes for next to nothing), a quick coffee, a couple of beers with friends, and/or a leisurely lunch or dinner The food, service and location are great, toilets are always spotlessly clean.
Food - OK, it's a bit more expensive than some places on Just Vilar, but the level of cooking is on a much higher level. Personal favourite dishes are the slow-cooked pork cheeks, the duck confit, the ribs, vegetables with kimchi, finishing off with the bluecheese cheesecake. They also do the usual patatas bravas, croquettes, salads etc if you just want something to snack on with a cold drink.
Service is spot on - quick, friendly and unobtrusive. You're never going to have to get up after 20 minutes and leave because nobody has acknowledged you, let alone served you.
Location is another key attraction - you usually get a gentle sea breeze bring cooler, clean air. Tables are well spaced, so if anyone is smoking near you you're unlikely to be affected, unlike in Just Vilar where it's a problem.

If you want to get a good portion that will ensure that you get your moneys worth take the Premium Burger, it is quite big with a nice side of potatoes. The Iberian secret is basically meat with truffle flavoured mashed potatoes, but tastes really good. The duck was excellent. A welcome addition to Cabañal and the team deserve success. Tip: Try the salteado de verduras - it's not like any vegetable stir-fry you've ever eaten before.
