Hands down some of the best Spanish fusion food I've ever eaten. It may not be traditionally Spanish but everything we had was very tasty, perfectly cooked and filling. The venue is cosy with only a few tables but proved to be very popular, by the time night rolled around it was packed. We fortunately has gone for an early dinner so were able to get a table easily.
Service was as expected with only two people working, when food is as nice as this you have no problem waiting for it to be cooked. If you want fast food there are plenty of McDonald's around.
One of the co-owners was an English lady who spoke perfect Spanish and flipped between English and Valencian like it was no effort. I feel so bad that I never learned her name! Very lovely, very chatty and accommodating. She recommended us to a traditional flamenco show that we visited the following night and it was incredible.
The other owner, Lola, was a native Spanish lady and she was equally as nice, understanding (or at least prendenting to understand) my basic Spanish and request for additional bread!
I would say the patatas bravas was some of the best I have ever eaten and I've had my fair share over the years. So much so, we went back for more the following night!
A great selection of vegetarian choice too which is hard to find in most European countries. The fusion of middle eastern inspiration was a really nice touch, particularly the pumpkin hummus.

Read moreBasic place run by English lady from Yorkshire, pretend to be Spanish, very loud and rude, fooling people by saying we don't have licence, sane attitude in England, not interesting at all, British low standards position if food, no life in that place, just food, don't go there only if you are desperate to find a place to drink. The staff are fantastic and very friendly as usual, because they are Spanish. Get a life, you can leave the bush of England but the bush can not leave your head. :-D get better furniture, it is cheap to buy chairs, not hard wood chair from the...
Read moreLa Greta was a memorable stop during our time in Valencia — located not far from the bus terminal, it’s an easy and worthwhile detour.
The food was excellent, and the wine was rich and well chosen. The highlight for us was the tapas dish with bacon cubes filled with cheese — absolutely incredible, possibly the best we’ve ever had.
The Gin & Tonic was also a standout — served in a glass nearly the size of a pint, and incredibly tasty.
The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, and our waitress delivered truly outstanding service. Warm, attentive, and professional — she really added to the experience.
The only small drawback was the lack of a more affordable “vino de la casa” (house wine) option, which would have been a nice touch.
All in all, if we find ourselves back in Valencia, there’s a good chance we’ll have another little affair with La Greta.
