Reading the other reviews, I am kind of surprised. We have had a lot of great things here. In fact it has become our go to place for sangria. The sandwiches are very good and reasonably priced. I did not eat the paella because there are so many true paella places in the area. The views are nice and the wait staff has always been on point. Again, for sangria it is one of the best.

We where happy to find a place to sit down and drink something in a very late walk through Valencia. Sadly the kitchen was already close, so we did not get the chance to try it. But their Tinto de Verano was quite delicious and substantial. It was located in a nice and simple square at the gates of the small streets that take you through the alleys of the historic center of the city.

Really awesome place with nice staff and a beautiful view on the Serrano Tower! Would absolutely recommend. We’ve been here three times and all the times were super. They also have tasty tapas for a nice price. The only thing for me was the toilet: it’s a little old, there was no toilet seat. For a woman not so comfortable.

At First the Restaurant seemed like a nice place to sit and enjoy a good meal. As we were very hungry we set down, and waited for the waiter. We were not greeted by menus, but by an energetic call to look on the menu on the wall for drinks. However, on the menu on the wall there were no prices for the drinks nor the meals, which we overlooked as a bad sign. When it came to the menu, the pictures and the choices presented seemed normal for a Spanish café. Though the prices were astronomical. We knew there was something fishy going on, but as we had no other choices in the Spanish siesta, we were forced to continue our stay at the restaurant. For prices well over 10€ ( which is very high for Spain and Valencia) we expected an „ensalada“ of the upmost quality. We were greeted by packaged salad from a supermarket, canned corn, packaged grated cheese and frozen chicken nuggets, which was branded as a „Caesar Salad“. Definitely the most overpriced meal for the least amount of quality. Never again and I would advise everyone to keep a 50 meter radius around that so called...

I very rarely write bad reviews but the staff at this place are shockingly bad. It's not often fair to single an individual out but one staff member was especially appalling. Why on Earth are you working in service? Is it really beneath you to be polite to the people visiting and paying? Where are your common courtesies as a human being? My wife asked politely in Spanish if she could take a paper napkin and was treated with utter contempt and this was after several smaller discourtesies. Where do you get your delusions of grandeur from?

Sadly, one doesn't expect the best quality in the busiest tourist areas, given that they rely on passing trade, rather than regular customers but to be actively hostile to customers is beyond belief.

If the owner would like me to tell them which individual was especially rude then please feel free to contact me. It's not appropriate to do so publicly but I'm very tempted to. However, I suspect that the owner simply doesn't care otherwise service would already be better.

The waiter seemed very nice at first.. she recommended us to order items separate instead of ordering the menu (paella, a drink, and coffee) because it was cheaper and we were very appreciative of her offering her advice and trying to save us money.. but although we only ordered a sandwich and tinto de verano (a type of red wine spritzer) each, it was 10€ each! The tinto de verano was €5 euros each—which is incredibly expensive for Spain. Besides the fact that she lied to us and we got less food for the same price, the food wasn’t good and they brought the wrong sandwich and we had to wait several more minutes for them to remake it. Bad service, bad...
