Cafe De las Horas, has positioned itself as little sister to the grand European salons of the past. The decoration is very much over the top, it is glamorous and a little outrageous and no doubt appeals to the average tourist seeking the baroque and a little bit of camp. And camp it is, from the waiting staff (a series of louche young men that Oscar Wilde would no doubt have pursued ardently) to the hushed soundtrack playing in the background. But make no mistake, for all it's relaxed and faded glamour this is a business that is run along military lines: as soon as a table is vacated it is cleaned and the next party is seated and the drink order taken. One feels that you can stay as long as you have money to support your addiction to this glorious add nonsensical confection. Do call in and try the Agua de Valencia - a speciality of the house. Enjoy your time down the rabbit hole... just don't take it or yourself too seriously!

Oh well, here for their agua de valencia. It’s refreshing, it’s very sweet (really sugary for my taste) and also very orange-ish. Best one according to people of the internet, and i think i understand why; they put more orange juice here than in other places. By the time we come, only 3 tables available. The later you came, the busier it gets. I can assure you, yapping here is great; a jug of agua de valencia to go along with pretty decoration and nice ambience; great combo. What is not great? One jug is not enough, we took 2 jugs for 4 people and have it finished by an hour. A tip; don’t be like us, order some snacks along with the agua de valencia.

I had pretty high expectations due to the mostly positive reviews. But no... Never again! The interior is great, but that's about it! First we had to wait 15 minutes to be served (and the cafeteria was half empty). We asked for coffee and cakes, the waitress brought us only coffee. The cakes - with artificial whipped cream - were given to us only after about 20 minutes. When we had to pay, the waitress did not give us the check, but a white sheet of paper where the amount was handwritten! Unbelievable! And, frankly, the most repulsive thing was that almost all the waiters were dressed very inappropriately for the place they represent (turn-of-the-century Literary Café, the Parisian Café, the English Tea Room, and the American Cocktail Bar - as it is written on their website). One of the waitresses was dressed in dirty Adidas sweatpants.... The other in a striped T-shirt, shorts and sneakers. You can see them in the photos. The waiters were more interested in each other's company than in serving the customers.

We went out on Friday night, and the experience was truly fantastic. We started with a bottle of Prosecco, which was absolutely delightful and refreshing, and the perfect complement to our evening. The service was exceptional from start to finish, the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. The atmosphere added to the entire experience, with its warm, inviting ambiance and stylish decor, creating the perfect setting for a memorable night out. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

An enchanting café in the heart of Valencia! The ambiance is absolutely magical, with its eclectic décor, chandeliers, and cozy, artistic vibe. We had Agua de Valencia there, and it was refreshing and perfectly mixed—definitely a must-try. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience felt like stepping into another world. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing coffee break or a unique place to enjoy cocktails, Café de las Horas is a must-visit. Highly recommended for its charm and atmosphere!

This is a very picture worthy place 😯🤩 Coffee was ok, pumpkin cake great! It’s very busy even during the week we got the tiniest table at the door but it was worth it because the decor is really cool. They don’t have much “real” food there but the drink menu is extensive. Because it’s so busy, the bathroom cleanliness was neglected, that’s a shame. Apart from that, everything was good and would definitely come back to be able to look through all those decorations and maybe get an Aqua de València next time.
