La Pequeña Pastelería de Mamá — Restaurant in Valencia

My husband and I sought out this adorable cafe as we were staying at the hotel "Rooms Ciencias" which is located directly in front of the cafe. We had noticed on their menu they had bagels!!! We are Canadian and have never seen bagels in Spain so this was something we were excited to order. I can´t tell you how much we enjoyed the bagels (I had cream cheese with smoked salmon/avacado & my husband had it with ham). The bagels were fresh and the salmon was smoked - I have never had such a high end bagel in my life! So, so Good!!! Before we left we also bought a couple of real fruit ice cream to try - madre mia!!!! AMAZING!!! The cafe has a nice patio which is within a quiet park but the inside is so beautifully decorated and lovely too. The owner is a delight, so sweet! This place was lovely for breakfast! We were able to modify the menu (no ham). The service was nice. The coffee shop itself is very charming and cozy, but outside there’s not much to look at since it’s surrounded by buildings. The breakfast menus are very filling, it comes with coffee, orange juice, tostada and a croissant, all very delicious! I’m taking one star off because the cakes were a disappointment. We ordered the chocolate and dulce de leche and a cookies and cream one (with Oreos). The former was ok, but I couldn’t finish the Oreo one, there was a flavor that was off. We were visiting Valencia and staying in town centre, after reading some reviews and also looking at Google information, we all decided to travel out for breakfast.

The venue is hidden, it is not on the main road but easily accessible. Once you’re inside, you can see the authentic and elegant design, it has 11 tables inside and a few more outside.

Their bagels were awesome, toasted sandwiches were very good too and lastly coffee was spot on!

Desserts were another ball game, i mean 10/10! Display was awesome and the selection we chose tasted perfect!
