We arrived Los Gomez at around 1pm, served straightaway but only indoor was available. Mellina (not sure if I got the spelling correctly) is attentive and very helpful. We ordered two lunch menu to share, one with 2 courses and the other with 3 courses. We shared a cod fish croquet and seafood paella, food is not the best we had in Valencia but definitely decent enough and be a good find in the touristy area. When finished with the paella we asked to serve the dessert which we ordered ahead. We were assisted by another staff who wasn’t aware that we have ordered. We let her know our choices again, they are served nicely. She later brought us the bill and kindly reminded us to check it, we the realised both the desserts were charged separately but it should be included in the lunch menu. I don’t think the restaurant did it on purpose at all as if I wasn’t reminded to check the bill I usually just pay right away. Overall the dining experience is a 4 stars consider it locates in the busiest area with reasonable price. If you’re around and look for a dining option this is your place. Food and service are both nice.

Our first meal in Valencia! Basically dropped our bags and headed out for somewhere to eat that was close by. The restaurant was packed so we had high expectations! Our waiter Ricardo was lovely, very friendly and communicative (5 stars) we ordered some tapas and a seafood paella to share. Ricardo explained that the paella would take approximately 30 mins but that we would have our tapas in the meantime, all good. The tapas took over an hour to arrive but we were at least enjoying delicious sangrias (and very small rose’). The food was delicious and the paella arrived not long after the tapas was cleared. We ordered for four which was definitely enough for the 5 of us, it was also very tasty! The only complaint was the rudeness and bad manners of our actual food server. She slammed the food down with no communication or acknowledgment at all and at one point actually delivered a dish right across the table, in front of one guest’s face, while she was eating! We never saw her smile 🤨 needless to say our tip went to Ricardo ❤️ Definitely worth a visit.

This place is a big scam. Before going you read more than 8 thousand positive reviews and then all of your experience will depend only on whether you being from some countries or others. To start they bring you, without anyone asking, some chips and bread with queso and a tomato sauce, you could think “wow, this is going to be an astonishing dinner”, don’t be fooled, they want you to pay for that bread. Thereafter you’ll be treated with not much respect and cordiality during all your time there, mistaken orders, infinite amount of time for every request, very long wait times and plates not matching reality (it’s said that galiziana weights 1.2 kg but it’s at most 1kg and its half is uneatable fat). We would have liked to order paellas for everybody but the waitress told us about a waiting time of one hour, guess what???twenty minutes after changing plans and ordinations, every people in the room that arrived after us had paellas (if it were a joke me and my friends probably would have laughed, we’re pretty chill, but it wasn’t). Moreover we ordered some “croquetas” with jamon and queso and they brought us the mushroom ones, after we pointed it out to the waitress she apologized and replaced our order with the right one (big recovery move you could think, but again they both figured in check. We refused to pay the mushroom ones). At the end they gave us a french fry “di cortesia”, (offered) can’t say nothing here, really appreciated, thank you 🤝🏼. To conclude we paid 9€ for every glass of Sangria, was it so good to be worth that price? Let me think about it…no. As i said we’re pretty chill and not touchy, so we still had fun and everything’s fine, but surely we’ll not go in the future, gracias por todo anyway 🎉.

I recently dined at Los Gomez restaurant, and I must say, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. We ordered two beers and the peeled seafood paella, which turned out to be a significant letdown. The paella itself was problematic from the start. The portion was shockingly small for the price, which was double what was advertised on the menu per person. To make matters worse, the quality of the seafood was abysmal. The salmon was excessively fatty, and the shrimps were not properly cleaned. It was unappetizing to find that the shrimps were not peeled from poop, making the dish very unappealing. The dining experience was further marred by the lackluster service. The waiters appeared bored and tired, showing no enthusiasm or smiles throughout our meal. Their lack of attentiveness and professionalism only added to the overall negative experience. In summary, Los Gomez is by far the worst place in Valencia to eat paella. With overpriced and poorly prepared food, coupled with dismal service, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. Save your time and money, and choose another dining option in Valencia

Expect to wait for your paella for 30 minutes after you order it because it is made to order. We had the Valencian Paella with chicken, rabbit, snails, artichokes, and pea pods. The chicken and rabbit were marinated with some magical sauce because they were absolutely delicious. There was just a little bit of that crispy rice layer, not a lot, (wish it were a bit more) but overall an outstanding meal. Know before you order (as we did) that the paella is meant to serve two and therefore you double the price shown on the menu. It still comes out to about 20€ per person, quite reasonable for a dinner of this quality. It takes about 90 minutes to complete the process from seating to settling the check, and there is some pressure for the restaurant to turn over the tables because they honor reservations (and that they were booked up on a Wednesday is more testimony to how favorable the World looks upon this restaurant.)

We had made reservations and were given a table below and it was too hot and the table was wobbly so asked to be moved outside, the lady had said something about being reserved but figured something out and we got to sit outside. Our host Fernando was super friendly, inviting and even showed us how to properly eat the Valencian paella. Don’t forget it’s a 30-35 min wait for a paella in general but honestly didn’t even feel the wait time. The paella was really good but to be honest I can’t compare it to other traditional ones as it was my first time. I will, however, always primarily love a seafood paella. It was my first time trying rabbit and snails too! For appetizers we ordered the Albondogas and pork rinds. Sooooo delicious! Overall it was a great experience and our waiter even made conversation with us about the traditions of the food.
