Mállalo X — Restaurant in Valencia

This is a truly excellent tapas gastropub that is new to the area; we chose Mallalo X because the tapas look more authentically Spanish and less Mediterranean-fusion. We tried a number of outstanding dishes: oat-coated asparagus (unique and tasty) abondigas (flavorful and smoky), mussels in wine sauce (super tender) grilled octopus (great portion and tender), chiccharones (fried pork belly - so good we had to get 2 orders) potatoes bravas (perfect garlic aioli), and the pistachio/Nutella pancake dessert. We wanted to take more photos, but the dishes were so delicious that someone always started on the dish(es) before we had time to take a photo. The service was personal and attentive; our server, Miguel, made great recommendations on both food and beverages. We only wish that we lived in Valencia so that we may eat here all the time. Incredibly friendly and efficient service, very professional while still offering a warm and local neighborhood vibe. Spectacular food for lunch - the croquetas were the best we’ve eaten so far in Valéncia! Loved the patatas bravas too. We appreciated the regional wine recommendation that paired perfectly with our light meal. Charming atmosphere that was a very local experience vs the many touristy establishments nearby. Ayer hicimos una reserva vía grupon y fuimos a cenar. El menú que compramos era 50 euros. Cuando llegamos al restaurante una camarera muy antipática con pocos modales nos atendió. Nos dijo que la reserva salia como cancelada. A nosotros se nos ha i descontado del banco aparte de tener el código QR. A la camarera se lo mostramos todo tanto la cuenta del banco con el importe descontado como el código QR, ella muy desagradable no ayudó nada. Nosotros le comentamos que necesitábamos algun tipo de justificación para que grupon nos devolviera el dinero, ya que si no nosotros lo perderíamos, ella se nego. Le ofrecimos el volver a pagar el importe y así esa factura nos valdría como justicia ion para devolvernos nuestro dinero también se nego contestando de malas maneras, ahí es cuando decidimos pedir el libro de reclamaciones y ella se nego, le dige que íbamos a llamar a la policía ya que no se puede negar y se nos puso. Gritar delante de todo el local como si fuéramos nosotros unos delincuentes y dándonos el libro de reclamaciones de muy malas maneras. No entiendo cómo se pueden ofender ellos. VOSOTROS HABEIS CONTRATADO GRUPON Y NOSOTROS HEMOS HECHO LA COMPRA A GRAVER DE GRUPON PERO EL NOMBRE UE FIGURA ES EL DE USTEDES . EN Definitivo NOS TOCO PERDER EL DINERO, QUEDARNOS SIN CENAR Y APARTE DE UN TRATO VEJATORIO Y INUMANO. ESA CHICA NO VALE PARA ESTÁR DETRÁS DE UNA BARRA O TRATAR CON CLIENTELA .
