Marisquería La Caleta Valencia — Restaurant in Valencia

Food is awful, the scallops were overcooked to the point of being rubber, they were swimming in garlic and oil. The prawns tasted only of salt and the meat of prawns was dry and rubbery. The lobster was also overcooked, dry and rubbery. We sent the dish back after informing the waiter of the problem. When it was brought to the table again it looked like the prawns, lobster and scallop (one only) had been rinsed in water, reheated and sent back to the table.

The bill was presented as €148.00, The problem was explained and a discount requested and ultimately refused. The only positive aspect of the whole meal was the sparkling mineral water.

Esto es un poco difícil de explicar pero lo voy a intentar.

En primer lugar la comida era 10/10 fuimos un amigo y yo y pedimos una mariscada y 2 tapas hasta ahí todo bien pero nada más sacar la mariscada y ellos ver cómo yo comía con las manos se empezaron a reír de mi en la barra...

A parte vino un familiar de los camareros y tengo un video donde sale el chico liándose un "porro" dentro del restaurante. El que quiera verlo me lo puede pedir sin problema.

Para colmo después de todo al final del postre el camarero nos dice os invitamos a un chupito y yo le pido un chupito de macallan, inmediatamente el va a la barra saca la botella y dice mira... Que nos queda 1 chupito y medio del licor y yo inocente de mi le digo mira ponme medio chupito así tienes un chupito por si alguien quiere porque tenía que conducir. Le pido la cuenta y veo que el medio chupito de macallan me lo había cobrado a 11€ y le digo no me invitaste al chupito? Y su contestación fue que no podía invitarme a un chupito de macallan (que fue medio) yo le contesté que esas cosas podrían avisarlas antes porque lo supe cuando vi la cuenta. Sinceramente pienso que eso es ridículo ya que entre 2 personas la cuenta me costó 208€ y no tuvieron ni el detalle del chupito.

Sinceramente yo no voy a volver a ir ya que aunque la comida esté buena el trato al cliente deja que desear... Porque para gastarme 104€ por cabeza me voy a otro sitio en el que la comida...

Incredible lunch with a group of friends here. It took us awhile to get through customs at the airport so we were late for our reservation. They were very accommodating and greeted us with some tasty appetizers while they were finishing our paella.

The seafood was super fresh and delicious. If we were staying in Valencia longer I’d definitely come back and try more things in their menu.

Lobster rice, croqueta, shrimp and truffle gyoza….everything...
