La CUCA BRUNCH (Centro) — Restaurant in Vigo

We drove and took the time to park in city centre for this highly recommended place. Staff did try and accommodate us by getting us a table. It was very busy. Great sign. But we waited 15 minutes. And nobody was able to serve us. Take an order or even ask us for a beverage

They were definitely one waiting staff member down.

I do not blame the staff. More management

I run a business back home in Scotland. In the bar and leisure trade. So I understand. Pressures and things. But the vibe was all wrong. There did not seem to be a manager in proper charge. The staff seem stressed. Plates from kitchen staff for fresh food orders were laid out. At bar area. The waiting staff left for at least 2 to 3 minutes. A plate then fell and smashed. It just seemed hectic and like they were one waiting staff short. Safe to say me and my son felt awkward as the waiting staff could see we were wanting attended to. I even asked the girl at a the bar about ordering so I could place an order myself but was told that someone would come and get my order. Safe to say.

Another few minutes went by and we just gave up and left

This place is SO fun! Full of quirky, whimsical, GIANT animal statues, but still airy and light and spacious. The staff are welcoming and friendly, found us an English menu and told us what they think is nicest on it. ❤️ The bacon pancakes came out under a big bell jar filled with of smoke!!! Such a spectacle, and delicious too! The bagel sandwich my partner got was also soooo good, lots of flavor and texture, and as New Yorkers, we approve the bagel itself, 10/10! ❤️ Definitely come here if you’re in Vigo, and want a delightful, affordable brunch with delightful, friendly people! What really sets this place apart is the decor inspired by a beautiful love story between a boy and a donkey — touching, inspiring, and clearly woven into every detail of the experience.
